Armor All Car Brake Cleaner Dust Repellent, Cleaner for Tires, Wheels, Rims, 11 Fl Oz Each

A lot of reviews say this product will cause drip marks on the black rims however, if you apply it like spray paint in short bursts, rather than dousing it, it will solve that problem. I have included a couple of pictures of my C8 Corvette rims with the product applied, and after approximately 400 miles of driving there is very little brake dust that can be seen. This is a dramatic change from what I was experiencing without this product because every time I drove the car before there was always visible brake dust on the rims, and I felt like I needed to wash the car more often even though the rest of the car was clean.

Absolutely amazing!!! unreal! 15 days without washing my gloss black rims! light dusting... don't spray heavily like the instructions say! thin coat... try to get all the surfaces without making a thick coating... this pic is from my Lexus RCF with extreme performance brake pads which mean extreme dust!!! so much metallic brake dust that just clings to absolutely everything especially my glossy rims! Crazy how this spray works it actually does repell dust and you can see where you missed a spot it will have piles of brake dust mounded. it will wash off when you wash your wheels with soap... it's not a permanent coating by any means. wish this was sold in stores... worth every penny based on how well it works! I'm ordering 5 cans in case it get discontinued!

So at first I was skeptical about this product, because there doesn't seem to be anything on the market yet. While I personally have had that experience of having dirty rims due to break-dust, it's a part of life I suppose. I too have a sports SUV and the rims are brushed aluminum, I simply hate chrome on rims unless its a classic car.So my first application took approximately 10 minutes or so to get an even distribution, then I applied a second coat about 10 minutes again. The product seems to dry really quickly and does work as expected, however rain or other elements will affect it's performance. I wish there was a teflon type spray that would remain on there and bounce off the bugs/stains etc. Great product however needs to be waterproof. One can will last you about 1.5 applications so make sure to purchase more. To ensure great coverage, clean rims thoroughly with soap and water or with a microfiber cloth.

When I first saw the price, I thought it was insane. But I get a lot of brake dust, so I figure why not give it a try. I sprayed it on my rims as suggested and let it dry for an hour. I let it dry a little longer and noticed some white runoff (from overspray). It wasn’t too bad, but nonetheless, I wiped it off and shined them up a little. Wiping them off did not remove the repellant from the rim. But, I have to admit, it reduced my brake dust by over 70 percent. I immediately ordered two more cans. I cannot tell you how it works on tires because I only sprayed the rims, but I am completely satisfied and highly recommend it.

It works better than most I have tried but the price is way high for how long it lasts. You may get a few days out of it with a heavy coat

I have tried just about every product to stop the brake dust build up on my mercedes. Nothing worked until I tried armor all brake dust repellent. This product really works!!!!! unlike the others they say they do but don't. The wheels stayed virtually dust free for 2 weeks ( I needed to wash the car due to oak pollen)! annd feel it would have lasted longer. The product is easy to apply and produces a nice shine on your wheels (make sure you let it dry for at least an hour. You will need to wipe the excess off your tires once it dries but that requires very little effort.

This product (mostly) does what it advertises. It keeps a good chunk of brake dust off of my clear coated rims. But long term use of this product will lead to a build-up of a film that's all but impossible to remove.After a year of regular use, I attempted to detail my rims and noticed a matte, tacky film build-up. After trying multiple products and multiple washes, I ended up needing to use a mild abrasive to truly clean the rims. Specifically, Meguiar's Water Spot Remover, which has plastic beads in the chemical that can gently remove this gunk.I'm not saying this product doesn't do what it's supposed to do. But rather, you should really understand the long term consequences of using this repellant before buying.

This product works very well. Keeps the wheels cleaner longer. I have a 2017 Mercedes e300 and it attracts/ creates break dust like no other car. Got aftermarket 20in wheels that are a pain to clean. This stuff kept them 80% clean for several weeks. The cleaning was a straight spay and wipe dry even after the dust started to form. Will say that 1 can may get you 1.5 cleanings, not alot in the can but get the job done. Also seams to add a clear coat that makes them look a bit more shiny than straight out the box new. Would highly recommend if nothing but to try it out once. I think you'll tell a major difference. I give it a 4.8 out of 5.
