Nice, well made jig. Measure tape needs a small bit of reinforcement, but not a big deal. The Monkey Fist jig works very well. This jig does come with a very brief "how to" , very basic. I suggest if you're just starting out purchase a pattern book as well.

nice tool my only problem is the thread on the metal bars is too short and there is not enough thread to get them tight enough to stop from getting loose while making the monkeys fist knot balleasy enough to fix when my tap and die thread cutters arrive

You can cord so much faster this way.

This item was a better value than I expected. Easy to use, I use it for making a hobby of mine easier and helping to expand and explore new avenues of my hobby. Arrived on time, and packaged well. I would certainly buy it again.
