Bea SettonBerlin: The dazzling, darkly funny debut that surprises at every turn
A**S
Brilliant, inventive, dark and compelling
A brilliantly observed, utterly compelling and hugely inventive book about a young woman finding her way - or not - in Berlin. In addition to Daphne, the narrator, who describes herself, her thoughts and feelings with brutal honesty there is also a cast of incredibly well drawn utterly credible supporting characters who interact with her. It’s story full of twists and turns - a must read.

Phenomenal read
I had never heard of Bea Setton before this book but I've certainly met a Daphne or two. From start to finish this has been a gripping, witty and subtly insightful read into the mind of a human frantically trying to find their place in a strange world. Berlin twists and turns in unexpected ways, yet somehow there is comfort in the journey through Daphne's underplayed charisma.
