The BEST compression pants for hyper-mobility syndrome
I am in LOVE with these compression shorts. I have Ehlers Danlos Syndrome and often have hip pain and trouble keeping my hips aligned. I'm a very active person and when I'm having a bad flare-up of my hEDS it is hard to work out. These have been a lifesaver! They compress just the right places without being too restrictive. It keeps my hips aligned and my muscles working correctly. It really helped with my knee pain and hip pain. I often wear them after hard workouts too which has helped with stiffness and pain. They are very tight and fit small but that's how they should fit. I ordered the large and medium through Prime Wardrobe to find the right fit and the mediums were best for me. I'll include my measurements below, the medium fit perfectly.Female/athletic-slim buildHeight: 65"Waist: 26"Hips (at fullest): 36-37"Low waist: 29"Thighs: 22"Normal pants size: 1-3/XS-S

Runs small!
The product runs small in the thigh area! Very, very, tight---to the point that it would be very uncomfortable to wear these for any long period of time. Also, these should be made with a string tie around the waist. Because of it being tight in the thigh area, it feels llike the waist area keeps falling down! I do like the support, that these seem to give for your hip area!

Hip Bursitis, IT Band, Hip Problems
As a woman, I ordered the mens shorts. I'd say for WOMEN 5'2" - 5'5" tall 130-140#, order a mens Extra Large. They run super super small. (I got a size Small in the lighter version of these, but this firm version runs very small). These are GREAT for hip bursitis, hip problems, IT bands, etc. The lighter version is best for under your clothes (nice and thin) or on top or under yoga pants. Both versions helped me. These more rigid version are better for strong support for zumba, treadmill, running.-Mrs. Odessa

Not feasible to wear.
Putting on the compression shorts are just fine and the fit is great. However, upon running or jugging, even walking for that matter, the shorts begin to slip down exposing buttoms. Luckily I wore a sports shorts over them, but I would of had a terrible traumatic experience. I tried everything, making sure to pull the material to contour my glutes, thighs, and groin, but each time I would face the same issue. Didnt work for me as I intended it to work .

too small
I wear a men's size 32 GAP jeans and according to the size chart, I should be an 'M'. Not. The fit was too small. My concern is that if I go up to the next size, it'd be too big.

Best in class
Thickest, sturdiest, best support for compression shorts. The price matches the quality. Great alternative or supplement to bandages / wraps.

Medical use mainly
First I think this is made and targeted more for medical use, not for sport.I bought these as a 40 year old resonably fit tennis player. They are not really useful for playing sports. My hip size is 42.5 inch (108cm) and size L it's too narrow, too much pressure, can barely walk. However I found that from the same (great) company the much simpler model MD8100 is perfect for sports. Even with my wide hips and usually wearing L, I found that from this MD8100 model I actually enjoy very well the "M" size, as "L" provides little compression for me.So I recommend this product probably for older people or people with hip problems, surgeries, etc., and not for active sports players.I normally wear size L and most things fit me quite well, including short pants, actually US size short pants L usually feel a little large. These are too slim for me, I can fit them but I can't move in them :-)).It's true that for a man I have slightly wider hips at 42.5 inch (108 cm) circumference. For women I can't see these fit, maybe going 2 sizes up. (and 0.5-1 for men)Then, the compression, the power required to extend the material it's too much, within this context (of my wider hips). Basically it pulls your legs and your ass cheeks together too tighly. So, the form factor of your hips is very important, if it is very standard then these will fit. If not, as they are made with many stictches and not much flexibility, chances are they will not fit. However in some medical uses perhaps this kind of large compression force, and little give from the material is needed and useful. The are very well built and heavy duty quality stuff. For sport use buy the much cheaper, lighter, more flexible but still very good quality material MD8100, very different from other cheap useless options.

Fit runs much too small.
Very high quality material but I should have listened to other reviews. My husband has a 31" waist so I ordered medium. Size large is for 34" - 38" so I assumed they would be much too big for him.But medium is WAY too small.I've returned them and ordering a large.

Regular McDavid Cross Compression fits perfect to size the Super Model does not
The regular McDavid Cross Compression fits perfect to size the Super Model does not. The regular McDavid Cross Compression XL size fits me perfect, but the Super model XL feels 2 sizes too small!!!
