Be sure your bike cables are of a similar length. Mine was a medium size bike, and lucky. If it was a large or extra large, these would have been too short. Otherwise, a straightforward process. One tip: do NOT squeeze the brake levers until the plastic disc insert has been removed, and the calipers are attached but loose to the mounting. THEN, squeeze the brake levers and HOLD the levers down until the calipers are tightly secured to the mounts. Best of luck!

These shifters appear to be well made, fit nicely and were easy to operate once installed. They are advertised as being for a nine-speed derailleur, but when I installed them, I could only get them to shift through seven gears, no matter how I tried to adjust them. The amount of cable travel on the old shifter is 36mm, the travel on this shifter is only 22mm. I'm not sure if I got a bad one or there's some sort of internal adjustment that's required but I'm returning them for a set of Shimanos.

The rear shifter does not work with Shimano 10spd. It works for the first 3 cogs then starts skipping every 2 cogs. It works fine on the front. I am using it on 105 group.

Any bicycle beginner can do this! Strong cables and very easy.
