One of the best-tasting sardines on the market. Firm, not mushy!, texture. Nice smokiness. They also are very well and neatly packed in the tin and look good.It's difficult to find sprat sardines where I live, and I very much prefer them to the larger pilchards which are so prevalent.They arrived quickly, well packaged. I never tried this brand of sardines, but I have now discovered my favorite brand! I love the olive oil that the sardines are drenched in and the quality is top tier. There’s so much quantity of sardines, that you really cannot finish one can. I love eating mine with saltine crackers. This brand tastes extremely fresh and there’s not too much salt content. I love this brand!

I switched from another brand because each can that I opened was a mushy mess.. I thought if one or two cans that happened with..it can happen! But each one was the same. I researched brands, and EWG..please check that site out..Promise you won't be sorry. It rates pesticides, BPA in cans, cosmetics and foods. This brand was rated the best. The first can that I opened was just the same as in the photo in the comments. Plump and perfect shape, for appetizers, or whatever one would like. It tastes delicious. The company is very well researched and has been around for a very long time. I am so happy to recommend this brand. I buy skinless and boneless in water salt free..though it has only a small amount of salt ..I prepare it as a spread..and add lemon juice a little dill and garlic powder, whatever one wants..and little mayo or one can use a little EVOO..served on crackers, or toasted bread. I love these, they are the best tasting sardines I've ever had and much smaller, younger fish than most others, much more delicate.

These are the real deal. I tried the Mediterranean style. Very little odor not a strong fishy taste at all and delicious on Ritz cracker. Yes they are a bit pricey.

Sardines are one of the cheapest ways to get omega 3s and these sardines are delicious in a salad, by themselves or with a bit of hot sauce. In fact, they are the only sardines I buy and I get them by the case because the rest of my household likes them, too. I have ordered 5 times! They are also a nourishing pantry staple in the event of a hurricane or other electrical outage. And then I always share a sardine or two with my cats. I remember growing up and eating fish on Fridays. Our society has stopped eating oily fish like mackerel and sardines with the event of fast food like hamburgers and fried chicken which are full of animal fat and omega 6 oils. Research shows the many benefits of Omega 3s, however, all oils are are light and heat sensitive. You never know how long a bottle of supplements have been sitting in a store or housed in a warehouse or at what temperature. Some will give you horrible fish burbs. I don't have this problem when I eat these sardines that have black olive slices, red bell pepper, a touch of garlic and spices. Add a little chopped red onion and these are sublime.

I purchased these on a whim since I hadn't had this brand before. Although everything tasted good overall, I wasn't a fan of the Mediterranean style flavor itself. I will give the brand another try and hope to find a more palatable flavor to my liking.
