Great Lens - Cheap Quality
Love the photos this lens takes however my focus ring literally broke and it was safe in my camera bag. Can't focus the lens at all without a lot of pressure - be weary.

TRASH!!! Do not buy.
This fisheye sucks!! You can't even zoom in to use the effect within the whole frame, it's always going to be a circle with black around it. Which might be cool in some instances but I'm noticing that it doesn't even include the entire circle, it gets cut off on the top & bottom. Super disappointed in this purchase. Would not recommend.

Well-made, compact, very sharp and fun to use
This is a very well made (all-metal) and probably the least expensive exotic circular fish-eye lens on the market. It is very sharp, BUT you definitely have to focus it carefully, if you want to get the best performance. Here is what I've noticed, while using the lens:1) On a DX format the top and the bottom of the circle WILL be cut off - hence the 4-star rating. If you want to get the full circle image, you need to use this lens on a full frame camera, such as Sony A7 series. I am using this lens on my Sony A7RII and then crop the frame as needed. I get 14mp images out of A7Rii 42mp full frame, (makes sense, since the lens is made for DX format) - more than enough for my needs.2) FOCUS, FOCUS, FOCUS! I've discovered that the best approach is to focus on the farthest object in the frame and then check the closet object for sharpness. Then adjust focus and aperture as needed. I know, you'd expect this type of lens to have infinite depth of field, but it does not seem to be the case here. Once focused, the lens is impressively sharp with minimal color fringing near the edges of the circle, easily and completely removable in Photoshop. The lens handles flare very well (I could not get it to flare so far) and if the Sun is in the image, you will be rewarded with a nice sunstar image.3) No hard stop infinity - do what you have to as per your own needs.4) No depth-of-field scale - no big deal for me, but may be for some folks.5) The front lens cap is on VERY tight. I almost dropped the lens, trying to remove it the first time. On the positive note, it will definitely stay on, protect the front element and will not get lost.6) The lens is very well made, all metal, other than the rubber ribbed focusing ring cover, and feels unexpectedly heavy when you pick it up. The front cap is made out of a rather thick aluminum. The rear cap is good quality plastic.Overall, I am very happy with this lens so far. If I find anything else, I will update this review accordingly. Well-made, compact, very sharp and fun to use - what else can you ask for, other than the equivalent for the full-frame format and adjusting the circular image, so that the edges don't get cropped off?

Fun little lens - wear nice shoes
I've been using this lens on my a6000. It's been fun to discover the best subjects and angles for composing good fisheye images. I'm rating it five stars not because it's the greatest lens ,but because it performs as well or better than I'd expect from a lens at this price point. I've seen the dreaded chromatic aberration and purple fringing at the edges of the image, and I'd return a more expensive lens for that. I can live with it from this inexpensive lens. It focuses just fine and plays nicely with my Sony e-mount cameras.I prefer not to get my own feet in the shots, but that can be hard to avoid. If you take this lens out to shoot with, wear nice shoes. :-)

Disappointed
At $129 this is not a cheap lens. But it is disappointing. The big problem is this lens is not up to the same grade as my Sony a 6400. The lens does not have a white dot to align with the dot on the camera to help you put it on. Even after I put on the lens I find it very hard to turn to install the lens securely. There is no click sound. And I feel I am damaging the camera. When I try to call the seller for assistance I find it is in China. I have probably to go through the trouble of returning it.

Fun fisheye, solid performance
I'd recommend this little fella for those looking for some great quality pics. I'm newer to the Sony mirrorless game but this tiny guy is GREAT on my Alpha ii, and produces crystal clear images! Price is right, build feels solid, so if this fun distortion is what you're into, get this puppy and get shooting.

not sure yet.
I'll write a partial review based on what I couldn't find out elsewhere. I bought the lens to use on my a6000. I have numerous fisheye lenses so why did I get this? I shoot 360º. I can't see much benefit to anyone else unless you really like the sphere.Through a bit of experimentation I discovered to shoot a full sphere 360x180, I ned to shoot 3 level shots at 120º. For video, it needs to be 4 shots at 90º. This is because video (on a6000) crops the top and bottom of the frame. Considering the lens and the blurb states that it covers 190º I was hoping it may do it in 2 shots. hmmmm.Full sphere video resolution is 3028x1514 shot at 1080. Still shot full sphere resolution is roughly 9k x 4.5kFrom what I have read elsewhere, it is best to shoot at a minimum of f8 because the sharpness varies throughout the frame. This also makes stitching tricky. It also doesn't show a whole clean circle. The top of the frame is cropped slightly. This means that the nodal and nadir spots do not stitch amazingly. Perhaps I just didn't have it set-up well though? This is best shot with a pano head like nodal ninja r1. This setup doesnt have a side arm that would otherwise get in the image. The r1 needs a lens ring unique to the lens and I doubt there is one available. The lens it self is reasonbly sharp and well built. The aperture ring is clickless. There is no protection for the lens itself. It is ridiculously small and lightweight! If I didnt already have 8mm I would gravitate towards this.
