Sweet Romance
A really sweet, clean romance that will whisk readers to the Emerald Isle where romance writer Ruth Davenport falls for not only the charms of Ireland, but also the charms of a certain pub owner, Sean Hughes. Their story is so much fun to read as these two find out that love comes when you least expect it. Ruth is delightful and Sean is a real sweetheart. One of my favorite parts of this book was the author's ability to truly capture the magic that is Ireland. It's one of my favorite places to visit and in some scenes, I could picture myself in that exact location.A really wonderful story!!!

Will Read Book 2 Next
Ruth writes about falling in love and finding true happiness. but not from personal experience. She believes that a change of scenery is required after experiencing a devastating rejection, and on a whim, she decides that Ireland is the best location for her to write her next novel. This book and the other five in the series may both be read and purchased right now. Since you can read all the books in this series at once, I don't have to worry about cliffhangers, which is my main problem with most series.I've never read anything by this author before. The characters are appealing, the romance is strong, and the plot moves along well. Although you can set it down, you still want to pick it up and keep reading. After finishing this book, I definitely want to move on to the next.

Loved it!
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. There’s so much to learn about Ireland here. I spent time looking up words used in the story to better understand what was being expressed by the locals. The build up to end seemed excruciatingly slow but well worth it in the end.

Dreamy characters, dreamy setting
This is one of the books that has you feeling sad when you finish. Well drawn characters whose actions are believable, and I felt invested in the outcome. First time reading this author, but will look for more by her. Lovely story.

My review
I am always a fan of a good Irish story and author, Michele Brooder wrote a lovely tale. A trip that starts wrong suddenly turns right when Ruth happens onto Sean's pub. I love the suttle looks, growing friendship, and eventual realization there is something more than meets the eye. I also love the description of the beautiful countryside the author writes into this story. It makes me want to hop onto my own flight and visit this ancient land. Happy reading, friends!

A Match Made in Ireland - Escape to Ireland #1
Ruth Davenport is a romance writer who decides to travel to Ireland to write her next book. Ruth meets an Irishman Sean Hughes who owns an Irish pub. Both Ruth and Sean don’t have any time for romance in their lives until Ruth walks into Sean’s Irish pub. Ruth needs a place to stay and she is willing to pay and Sean needs the cash. Ruth and Sean grow closer in their relationship. I really enjoyed this great contemporary romance novel.

A lovely sweet romance
I loved the characters of Ruth and Sean and how they interacted. The self doubt of each of them helped to weave the the emotions when things weren't going the way they expected. Ireland was a great place for the story and love the description of the village. I'd recommend it to my friends.

Engaging, warmhearted story
Ruth Davenport is an American romance writer who can’t seem to find any romance of her own. Part of her problem, she thinks, is the men she becomes interested in are themselves more interested in Ruth’s younger sister. Like the one she’s preparing to ask out, when he asks her to put a good word in with the sister. She’s also behind on her new novel-under-contract, as in, she can’t think of anything to write about. She sees an ad for a marriage bureau and thinks she may have found her novel idea. And what better way to research the idea then go to Ireland and interview some of the clients? Once she arrives, mishaps abound, starting with her lost luggage, followed by the wrong date for her country inn reservation. Directed to a pub and bed-and-breakfast in a nearby village, she wrecks the rental car in a driving rain. And the bed-and-breakfast is no longer that but only a pub, owned by Sean Hughes. He needs money to buy a new boiler, so he agrees to drive her to meet the marriage bureau clients. Ruth has never met anyone quite like Sean, and Sean, once stood up at the altar, has never met anyone like Ruth.“A Match Made in Ireland” by Michele Brouder is the story of Sean, Ruth, and what happens when an American romance writer meets a pub owner who only wants to grow apples. It’s an engaging, warmhearted story, full of Irish locations and scenery and keeping the reader guessing as to what will happen next in the growing relationship between the unlikely couple.Brouder has written a number of contemporary romance and young adult paranormal novels, with the books organized in the Escape to Ireland, Happy Holidays and Soul Savers series. A native of New York, Brouder lives with her family in Oreland. “A Match Made in Ireland” is the first novel in the Escape to Ireland series.

A Match Made in Ireland
A first Michele Brouder story for me. This was a sweet and easy clean romance that had me smiling, shaking my head and reaching for a tissue. Most of the characters were quite likeable and their story told well.

Another perfect read .
Third book I've read by Michele Brouder and I couldn't get enough of it.As in her books situated in America, this one in Ireland was pure Ireland, you really felt you were there, the folks were believable and the story itself just left me with that feel good factor. As always with a good book, it was a pity it had to finish, however the author knows there's nothing worse than dragging out a story.Looking forward to read no 2 in this particular series. One word to the author, Thankyou.
