DexShell Ultralite Waterproof Socks

I can't speak for its durability, but I got a real-world test a few weeks ago during a downpour in Vancouver, BC. I was wearing my normal cycling shoes from Southern California, which are mesh. We were hit with crazy hard rain and the shoes quickly filled with water, but the socks kept my feet warm and dry--miraculously, my feet didn't sweat despite the water proofing. I'm sold. Great way to keep your feet dry in wet weather if you don't want to buy waterproof shoes.

Took one pair of these on the Overland track in Tasmania as an experiment. Very impressed. Snow, water and mud every day on the track. Shoes were saturated but feet were relatively dry. Inner toe socks worn separately underneath these socks were not completely dry, but dry enough to not leave a wet footprint on dry floor after a hard day of hiking through deep water and mud. Wore them every day for a week with no issues. Dried inside and out every night. Would definitely recommend. Good value.

I didn't have high hopes for these, but on a recent motorbike motorway ride with leaking boots they kept me feet dry despite heavy rain.

I am always a bit skeptical about "waterproof" gear but DexShell delivers! I tested the breathable, over-the-ankle socks just after an atmospheric river hit the Pacific Northwest. So trails became creeks 3-4" deep and creeks became rivers 8-10" deep! I felt the cold over the water and my shoes felt squishy as they filled up with water and then drained. The socks didn't become uncomfortable either, just kept my feet dry and warm the whole time. My feet were dry at the end of a very wet four hours out. Didn't even need to towel dry them to put on my fresh socks back at the vehicle! Thanks DexShell!!
