Cast Aluminum Bicycle Bookends Bike Cycling

The metal aluminum part of the bookends were much heftier than expected. However, the mold appears to have been quite off, and the wheels and seats of the bicycles are very wavy and squiggly instead of being smooth.The post parts of the bookends are extremely lightweight pieces of what appears to be glued and painted fiberboard with none of the weight that you would generally expect from a good set of bookends.Bookends are meant to be rather weighty in order to hold up the significant weight of a line of books. These are extremely lightweight, and they would have been much better served by using real wood on the end posts instead of pressed or fiberboard and the mold could have been greatly improved.However, these bookends look really nice from a distance, as long as you're not getting too close.

Nice and heavy, and they look great! Very happy with them, they seem to fit with many different decors because of the simplicity. Would gladly buy again for another cycling enthusiast.
