TotalMountRoku Ultra Mounting System (Not Compatible With Roku Ultra Models Purchased After September 2020)

I was really impressed with this Roku mounting system. Very well packaged and including everything you would need to mount your Roku in different ways according to the vent openings on your particular television. Unfortunately, when I went to mount mine using the circular hole mounting adapters, the tiny hooks that go into the holes broke off on one of the adapters so I now only have it hanging by one adapter instead of two. I still recommend this product but be careful when trying to insert the hooks into your television grill.Update:I changed my review to 5 stars on this product. In addition to a great product they have great customer support. I emailed them about my issue and they responded very quickly. They are sending me new adapters. Fantastic product and customer service! I will be a return customer!!

This is a better solution for Ultras than simply slapping it on the back of the TV with a couple velcro strips. It's also easier to remove the Roku if you need to for some reason. As advertised the mount provides a little more airflow underneath and around the unit which doesn't run hot under normal loads but can get that way with 4k content.Because of this the fit is slightly loose but if hung in the correct upward orientation isn't a problem (and hopefully means there's some tolerance if Roku changes the dimensions of future Ultras slightly - also this will fit smaller Roku units, though obviously with an even looser fit).I don't have vents in the right place on my TV but agree with other reviewers that the hooks look a little flimsy. I used the included 3m adhesive which works great, just clean the area you are sticking it to with some 91% alcohol/etc. first. And it IS removable: Once :) You can clean the residue off easily but you'll need to get new double sided tape for the next time so make sure it's where you need it before you attach it.Installing it was very easy and at least in my room the IR instructions are correct - just make sure you have it within 6 inches of the top of the TV and there's nothing blocking it above and the IR signals will bounce down just fine. I have no problem using mine with my IR-only Harmony remote even though the Roku is completely hidden behind the TV. Obviously this doesn't matter if you use an RF Roku remote (or a Harmony hub which can connect to it via Wifi) but it's a nice option for universal IR integration. See pic for where I placed mine - IR signals hit it from everywhere in my bedroom.One last tip - the little white Roku light might reflect off your wall and provide a very slight glow above where it is installed. It's not that distracting, but if you want to mitigate that or are just OCD get a pack of these:  LightDims Original Strength - Light Dimming LED covers / Light Dimming Sheets for Routers, Electronics and Appliances and more. Dims 50-80% of Light, in Retail Packaging.  - the 80% ones won't block the light completely - so you can still check and see if it is on if needed - but will dim it enough to stop the reflective glow. I recommend a pack of those stickers anyway, if you have lots of little lights from the TV, soundbar, consoles, etc. you'll find yourself using them on everything; they are practically invisible and do a great job dimming bright leds.

This Roku Ultra Mount is excellent. The Roku slides into it easily yet there is no slop. The way it’s designed it acts a a heat sink and it allows air to flow underneath and all around the Roku. It comes with a variety of hangar clips to hang the mount from the back of your TV. If that doesn’t work the entire backside has an adhesive strip which is what I used to mount it to the back of my new OLED TV. I have been running it continuously for several hours and the Roku Ultra is cool to the touch. I highly recommend this mount. Is a very easy and clean way to mount and hide the Roku Ultra. Also there seems to be no problems controlling it even though it’s mounted behind the TV. The Roku and it’s remote still works great.

We live in Montana with only satellite TV, but, we do have great wifi, thank goodness. I am a ROKU junkie. I have ROKU 1, 2, 3, 4, Ultra, Ultra Supreme with Chocolate. I even have a ROKU unit in our master bathroom, garage, guest bedrooms, you name the area it probably has one. I've always been concerned about the heat the ROKU units generate. In my office/man cave/leave-me-alone-woman room I have a laptop cooling fan on my ROKU Ultra. These mounting systems will get the unit out of the way, provide cooling, can attach just about anywhere. That will also keep the dust off of them. These holders will hold the ROKUs 1, 2,& 3, but, to be on the safe side hold them in place with a rubber band, Velcro, or double-sided tape, just to be on the safe side. There is an odd little duck, the ROKU 4630X (ROKU 3.5??) which fits perfectly. The ROKU 4 does NOT fit period (why they made this beast is beyond me). ROKU got their heads together and came out with the ROKU Ultra, which fits perfectly. Remember boys & girls, don't hold this in place with a magnet or metal foil tape. Don't mount it to anything metal, just to be on the safe side. Use a 'surge protector' not a cheap 'power strip'. Before you mount it semi-permanently, make sure the remote works with the ROKU box. Be hesitant to use the glue strip (remember TVs have a shelf life, they get bigger and better, and some TVs get shot when your favorite football team doesn't win!). Now if ROKU would make a one-size-fits-all ROKU remote - with a separate 'OK' button, life would be great. (Yes, boys & girls, my ROKU #1 still works!).
