Quieted the beast
I recently bought a used 2007 Toyota Tacoma SR5 pre-runner . My previous car was a 2000 Audi A6. I buy used cars with the intent to drive them a long time (200,000 miles). Changing to a truck from a sedan was a little bit of a change, and some of the interior creature comforts were more basic. One of the biggest differences was road noise. The A6, as you might expect, was very quiet. It is unfair to expect a truck to be as silent, but after a few long road trips the noise did begin to bother me. I researched several options for quieting the noise, including this product and others like it, closed cell foam, and mass loaded vinyl. This one appealed to me on price and ease of installation.I installed 3 sheets on the back cab wall while waiting at my kid's soccer practice. I put in 4 door sheets literally over my lunch hour. This stuff is very easy to insall. One sheet is just about perfect to cover under a door panel, with a few trim cuts. The bulk pack includes another 2 sheets, but honestly I intend to use them on my wife's car. The floor of the Tacoma actually has sound dampener and a thick carpet pad, so I'm skipping the floor.Honestly, the 7 sheets out of 9 are enough. The road noise is far less. My factory stereo sounds MUCH better. I was turning the stereo up to 40 or 45 on the highway, but now I only need to go to 30 to enjoy a clear sound. The bass response of my factory speakers is very much improved I think. Before, the side mirrors wouldn't shake on a bass-ey song. Now with the same song playing all my mirrors vibrate. I can even feel the bass better with my ass-meter. I think it is due to sealing up the holes in the door, making the door a better speaker box. I don't think I'm imagining it.Anyway, this was a very good $100 spent. I might add a subwoffer still, or maybe swap out my factory 6 1/2" speakers with better ones. But for now the main goal of reducing road noise is satisfied. I honestly hear much less road and wind noise. Great product.

Very good product
This brand works really good, I installed some on roof of my truck cab years ago and it has worked flawlessly . Just finished the entire cab with this sound deadening material , easy to install, sticks great and no smell at all.

I installed this product on the roof and the floor of my truck. I had previously installed the less expensive Fatmat Rattletrap XXX product in the doors and the rear of the cab.I installed Stinger Roadkill Overkill adhesive dampener and Stinger Roadkill carpet pad at the same time that I installed this product and I'm very happy with the overall results. The adhesive on the Stinger Roadkill product is quite a bit stronger than the adhesive on the Fatmat product. Stinger claims that no surface prep is needed. I had some failures of the Fatmat product where I didn't follow Fatmat's instructions to clean the surface thoroughly with a product like Windex and use a heat gun to heat up the product before rolling. The Stinger product is stiffer so it is more difficult to work around sheet metal contours but I suspect that this translates into better vibration dampening once the product is installed. I was Impressed with the roadkill when I stuck a strip on the body skin through a small access hole. a small strip of the product seemed to be quite effective using the unscientific test of rapping on the sheet metal with my knuckle before and after installation.I like the packaging of the Roadkill product. I found it easier to take a sheet out of the box and trim it as needed compared to cutting the Fatmat product from a roll. There was no noticeable smell from the Stinger product. It took a few days for the smell of the Fatmat product to go away after installation. The bottom line for me is that both products are effective when properly installed. I think it is worth paying the extra money for the Stinger product.

Installed on 06 HHR
Installed on an 06 HHR. If u know anything about these cars its that the rear hatch area rattles like a mofo. Any little bumps, even those tiny road reflectors with shake u up louder than a crooked cop. After almost 8 years i had enough and decided to buy sound deadening stuff. I first decided on dynamat but found this item which was a lot cheaper and the reviews were excellent.Im glad i listened because this stuff has made my little hhr sound like my wifes new Mercedes! The stereo sounds SOOOOO MUCH better, bass is better distributed. The car doesnt get as cold as fast, i hear no bumps and its SOO much quieter than before. I bought two bulk boxes and had about 4 sheets left over. The whole project took 2 FULL days. Im talking from 8am to 8 pm every day lol.It stuck perfectly even when it was still 37 degrees outside. Instead of buying the roller on here i used an old bed frame wheel which worked just as good. And i bought carpet padding from homedepot for half of what they want for the stingray stuff and it works great. A once hard flat carpet is now a squishy and more plush carpet.Highly recommended roadkill!!

KNOW WHAT YOU ARE SIGNING UP FOR!
I installed this product on my 07 single cab dually. In stock form, the truck is just one giant rattle can! I planned to upgrade my speakers and thought why not sound proof it. But please understand, this is very time consuming and requires a lot of patience and attention to detail when performing this job! Roughly 2 boxes did my whole truck and I doubled up on the roof and the cab. You must remove all interior before installing. I found that once interior is removed, vacuuming and using simple green then windex a second time on the metal really allowed for a good mating surface! I also found that laying the tiles out in the sun during the day helps when installing. At night I used a heat gun! Get the roller with the rubber wheel too! It lasted!Overall, the before and after is night and day! I would recommend this for anyone with an older vehicle looking to get a good driving or audio experience! Before my truck ratted, exhaust drone was horrible and the low frequency roars killed me! No longer an issue after installing! Well worth the time and money spent improving my ride.

Excelente resultado, excelente producto.

Thicker than Dynamat. Cheaper too
Thicker than Dynamat. Cheaper too. What can be said that hasn't already been said? You can seriously cut down exhaust drone by adding this to your roof, and inside your rear bumper plastic cover on cars, and inside your hatchback/tailgate on your car if you have one. And if your gas tank is accessible, then whatever you can get on that helps a lot too (more than you think!!). These things are only worth doing if you wanna cut exhaust noise though. These things don't help with music, and they don't do much for "sound deadening" except for taking down your own exhaust noise

Sound deadening material.
This is my second box and love this product. It stays where you stick it and greatly reduces noise.
