A great read!
This book is a must if you have any interest at all in parapsychology. I found Dr. Watt's historical perspective of research conducted in the field of particular interest, and it helped me to understand the context within which current research is located. This book is not only highly informative but easy and fun to read. It contains a detailed glossary and a section on further reading that lists additional resources for each chapter should you wish to delve more deeply into a subject area. And just about every topic you can imagine that might fall within the parameters of parapsychology is covered: telepathy, mediumship, remote viewing, precognition, testing in the lab, hauntings, near-death experiences, they are all explored. The appendix also includes some fun examples of how to test your own ESP and PK abilities. They provide a fascinating way to while away a few hours with friends. I bought the kindle edition of this book because the print version had not yet come out. But I shall be buying a print version aswell because this book is an excellent resource that I will likely keep referring back to as a starting point for the different areas I want to explore in more detail.

An Excellent Overview With Easy-Reading Style
A candid and easy-to-read overview of the types of parapyschology that have been claimed and researched in the past hundred years or so. It leans a bit toward the academic, as it should, as the author explains the science community's perspective of the various forms of extraordinary mental capacities. Yet, there's humor and a friendly style to the writing that keeps you turning pages and thinking about what you THINK you know!
