I have the former version of the same product, with the round seat. This newer one, with the square seat, is vastly superior. It locks together more easily, it releases more easily, it opens and closes more easily, and it stays closed better. In addition, the Square seat is a surprisingly big improvement over the round one. Much more stable, and much more seating area. In addition, the strap that wraps around it can be lengthened to a longer length than the old one. The old one was really too tight to wear bandolier-style while walking around. This one isn't; it has plenty of strap, and goes over my left shoulder and hangs off behind my right hip very easily. I hardly notice that it's there when I'm walking around.I use this when I go to a place like the Public Market, where there's nowhere to sit and a lot of walking. This allows me an opportunity to sit down wherever and whenever I want.I get a lot of people asking about it, and wanting to know where I got it!The only thing this stool doesn't do well is set up on an angled or very uneven surface. It really needs to be set down somewhere pretty flat. It's okay on grass, or gravel, or concrete, but it doesn't do well on a slant or if the ground is rough/uneven.

I BOUGHT THIS TO KEEP ON MY HORSE SADDLE FOR MOUNTING MY TALL HORSE. MY SISTER HAS ONE ALSO, WE HAD TO ADD ADDITIONAL STRING TO IT TO PULL IT UP, BUT IT IS EASY TO FOLD UP AND YOU CAN TAKE IT ON THE TRAIL AND NOT WORRY ABOUT IT GETTING IN THE WEIGHT. MY GUY FRIENDS WISH IT WOULD HOLD MORE WEIGHT SO THEY COULD USE IT...It broke yesterday, two of the teeth broke which makes it unusable. I weight 154 pounds so I’ve not exceeded the weight limit.

Make sure that it's locked. Do not shift on the seat, it will drop a level. Hold on and make sure it's secure.

This is the first time I had ordered a folding stool like this. Wasn't sure what to expect. I had a little difficutly getting it to adjust to the size I wanted, but once I got the hang of it the stool worked perfectly.

The first row on just under the seat breaks easily after a few uses. I returned the first chair when it broke after my first use and purchased another. The second chair broke after the third use. My weight is 282 lbs, far within the capacity mentioned in the description. I like the concept, but doesn't hold up.

Some times I use the stool to sit on when performing, or use as a stand for my PA equipment. When stored away it takes up very little space in my car when loading all of my other sound equip

I used it for sitting outside while doing medium heavy work. On about day 35 the thing shattered into pieces & I was planted onto my tailbone resulting in a week of lower back pain.
