Marcy MWM-989 Home Gym
I've used this every day since I got it and it really delivers. Assembly takes several hours, and mine came with a part that was damaged in shipping - but the replacement process was very easy. The number of exercises you can do and the smoothness of operation is really quite good for home equipment (i.e. not professional-grade equipment you would find in a gym), especially for the price. My only minor gripe would be that it would have been nice for Marcy to put cushioned grips on the bench press handles (which they did for the lat-pulldown bar), but this can be easily and cheaply remedied with bicycle handgrips (which I subsequently got from Amazon). Highly recommended.

Excellent equipment for working out at home.
โญโญโญโญโญ The Marcy multi-gym is an excellent choice for working out at home. It features solid steel construction, feels stable, and allows you to work various muscle groups without needing multiple pieces of equipment. I appreciate that it is practical, comprehensive, and helps make the most of available space. Assembly was straightforward following the instructions, and the quality of the materials is evident. Ideal for anyone wanting to stay active and have a home gym. A great purchaseโI highly recommend it.

Senior female here. Really good machine.
This machine is excellent! I'm a retired senior female in my 60's who decided I needed to start basic weigh training. The assembly of this machine looked daunting, but the instructions are very good, and the video listed here with the product is excellent. I used both video and written instructions and had no problems putting the machine together by myself with zero help. I worked on it a couple of hours a day over the course of 3 days while watching TV. To start, I took all of the small pieces out of the packaging and put them in labeled storage bags, which made it much easier to keep separated (see photo). Once I started using it, I realized quickly how much I needed this machine when I could barely lift any weight in various exercises. For some of the exercises, I removed the weight pin, so that I am only lifting the smaller weight on top of the stack. I'll work my way up over time. I went to YouTube and found several videos showing various workouts on this exact machine, some produced by Marcy, which were extremely helpful to get me started. I saved them and put them on the TV to watch while using the machine. The only things I purchased separately were an additional clip for the ankle strap, so that I did not have to remove one from the top bar each time, and a separate smaller bar for the bicep curls, so that I did not have to keep switching the top bar to the bottom and back. One factor in picking this specific machine is that it fit well in my small home office along with a walking pad treadmill, a glute machine, a desk and chair, bookcase, TV, printer, record player, drawers, etc. So far so good. I do recommend this machine. Just have patience during assembly.

Solid Home Gym - Great Quality, but Prepare for a Long Build
Pros: โข Built Strong: The frame feels rock-solid once assembled. Itโs clearly designed to handle serious workouts. โข Good Quality: Materials and finish are top-notch, giving it a professional gym feel. Cons: โข Time-Consuming Assembly: Be ready to set aside several hours (and maybe a couple of coffee breaks) to put it together. โข Needs a Gym Mat: Without a solid mat underneath, it can feel slightly unstable on certain floors. Overall, once itโs up and running, this home gym delivers a great workout experience. Just make sure you have the time, patience, and a good floor mat before you start.

Nice home gym with a good price.
No, this is NOT an industrial-grade gym like one at a commercial fitness center, but for a small home gym with limited space, it's well-made and very versatile in terms of its feature set. It's easy to assemble, and we use it every day.

Mostly good - multiple engineering and workmanship flaws that could easily be fixed
Pretty decent home gym for the price. You can do a variety of exercises on it. It is solid construction and was fairly easy to assemble (though it took a long time). The overall workmanship isn't great. One of the weight number labels had no adhesive on it. I don't like the huge instructional sticker that's on it. I wish that didn't come pre-installed (it's like the only thing that is). The Marcy sticker is falling off after < 2 weeks. There are a TON of scratches on the metal frame. I don't expect it to be perfect but it's a lot of scratches in the paint all the way down to the bare metal. I'm not sure how anyone can do hamstring curls with it. The leg bar is too low and not adjustable. I think people with really short legs can do it. I'm not in love with the way the leg / curl lower pulley system works. It pulls up on the hinged leg bars. Overall a pretty OK home gym. It takes up less room than a BowFlex and is only a little less versatile.
