Superb notebook
The Rhodia Webnotebook has a beautiful smooth cover that's nice to handle, a ribbon place marker, and an elastic band to hold it closed. The smooth, 90g cream color paper (same as the legendary Clairefontaine paper made since 1863), is not only nice on the eyes, but perfect for a fountain pen -- no bleed-through, no ghosting. The sewn binding lies flat enough to be perfectly comfortable for writing (and unlike a spiral ring-bound notebook, there's nothing in the way of the right side of your hand as you write. Highly recommended!

Perfect for all your fountain pen needs, works with all inks!
I recently purchased the black-lined version web notebook, and I have never written on such high-quality paper. I use this with my TWSBI Eco, and Iroshizuku Syo-Ro pine dew ink, which is very watery, which causes feathering on regular paper. I wanted something I could write with my fountain pens on, and I was not disappointed at all. The paper is extremely smooth, and absorbs ink like a sponge, but makes the color of the ink stand out when writing. I have seen no bleeding at all from this notebook, especially considering the TWSBI Eco drains a considerable amount of ink onto paper. Another wonderful aspect of this notebook is the quality and craftsmanship of the build of the notebook. The cover is extremely smooth and comfortable to handle. I highly recommend this notebook to anyone who wants to treat their pens to a quality product.

Great notebook!
After using Moleskine notebooks for several years for my daily journals, I searched for a similar style that had paper that wouldn't bleed through when I used my fountain pens on it. Found these journals and am so glad I did. They're made exactly like the Moleskine ones, but the paper is just a little thicker. My fountain pens don't bleed through the page, and they're very smooth writing. I like the feel of the outside covers, which come in several colors, and the ribbon marker inside. I'll be buying these from now on for my writing.

Great Quality and Reasonable Price for Ink Work
If you're extremely picky with your notebooks, this is a great choice. It obviously costs more a little more than most notebooks, but not much and it's easily worth it if you're looking for a more sturdy notebook. In particular I bought it for writing and drawing with a ruling pen and an inkwell, and after testing it out found that the paper has low absorbency and shows through pages much less than other paper, so much so that you can feel the texture of the ink if you run your hand over it when it's dry. Ink tends to only show through the pages if you use excessive amounts of ink and accidentally press the ink against the page while wet, so for writing purposes it's fine but for artistic applications a bit of caution may be required to avoid bleed-through depending on your drawing technique. Aside from this there is a slight amount of transparency to the pages where ink is applied, even in small amounts, enough to be able to tell what's written on the other side, but not enough to seriously interfere with anything written on the opposite side. Definitely a good buy and I'd heavily recommend it for any ink-based work.

Almost Perfect For Fountain Pens.
Dear reader of this Amazon review I have been on the hunt for the perfect notebook, for fountain pens. A lot of online research went into this purchase. Now I have had this notebook for almost a week and here is what I can say about it.I write using either pencil or fountain pen. The good thing about writing with pencil is that you can use almost any old paper, however this is not the case with most fountain pens, for the EF nib lover this statement need not apply to you. This is my fourth notebook in my quest. The first being a Jenni Bick Leather notebook using stoneground paper. This has been my favorite notebook by far to use but it was a gift and also cost $50 which is out of my price range for a notebook. The second notebook I bought was a Lemomme, for fountain pens its unusable. It bleeds terribly. The third notebook I used was Dingbat, which was a solid notebook but still I wondered, was there something better. So after wondering if there was something better, I began my research. I started over at r/fountainpens on reddit. Reading threads and asking different posters there opinions, until I finally got three consistent answers. Clairefontaine paper, Oxford Optik Paper, or Tomeo River paper. Google searches and Youtube videos pretty much confirmed the same thing. For those of you that noticed Rhodia wasn't mentioned in that list that's because Rhodia uses Clairfontaine paper to make there notebooks. So I purchased the notebook online for around $20 which is the most I am willing to spend on a notebook. The cover of the notebook is a nice shiny black fake leather. It feels good to the touch and looks professional. There is an elastic loop to keep the book firmly closes and black cloth place holder. So far the construction of the book has been solid. It lays down flat for me and I haven't had any trouble writing on my desk with it. I wish there was a pen loop on this notebook but it has not been a deal breaker. The paper itself is an off cream color. The best I can compare it to is that thick coffee creamer that you find at a Holiday Inn lobby. The paper is ink resistant which means the ink dries on top of the page and not absorbed into it so you shouldn't expect any bleeding or feathering issues. I have used this notebook to do a swab test and experienced no bleeding. Pretty impressive for most accounts. But depending on what ink you are using you will have to be aware of drying issues. For example when using Noodlers Heart of Darkness ink it dries almost as soon as it touches the page but when using Organic Studio high sheening ink (its not Nitrogen but a green high sheening ink which I can't remember the name of) it takes a while for it to dry but the result is perfect sheen. So when using fountain pens the three biggest concerns for what paper to use are bleeding, which is not an issue, feathering, again no issue, and ghosting. Here we have our issue. While ghosting is to be expected in almost any paper under 200 gsqm I didn't expect it to be as present as it is here. The notebook I used earlier, the dingbat was better. However the ghosting does not make it unusable for front to back page use, as shown in the attached picture. The ghosting just isn't where I want it to be, so the quest continues for the perfect fountain pen notebook.

Worth the price, and fountain pen friendly
I have tried out several notebooks trying to find the best one for my fountain pens, and i haven't found anything that stands up to the webnotebook. The webnotebook has good dry times for the ink, zero feathering or bleed through, and the paper is thick enough that you can write on either side of the page with zero visibility of notes on the other side. The price is steeper than what I would have liked, but it is well worth it.I have a leather notebook cover on mine, but it is not necessary by any means as the cover is plush and durable. It is soft to touch, but depending on how you carry, may keep indentations, and scuffs.

Excellent Journal
I've had two of these so far and they're and absolute pleasure to write on. The paper holds up great to fountain pen ink and doesn't feather or bleed. The cover is nice and soft to the touch. My only wish is that it came in an A4 size and maybe that it had numbered pages.

Well known for a reason
When searching for fountain pen friendly paper, you're bound to run into Rhodia at some point. There's a reason for that. So, if you're writing with a fountain pen, this notebook is definitely worth a look. It's a rather simple straight forward notebook, but it gets the job done well. Why it's called a "web" notebook is beyond me ;-)

Super produit
