Perfect for kids, I brought this for my 6 year old, not heavy at all. They do bend, but this is the material I wanted for a child.

Really a toy.
I ordered this for a 9 year old granddaughter. I think I could have ordered the $10-$12 ones and gotten the same thing. I thought in reading about it that it was a cut above a toy, but I was disappointed to discover it was not. My grand likes it and will learn to twirl on it, but I was hoping to buy her a "real" baton, not just a toy. I twirled myself 60 years ago and we did not start out with toys.
