A joy of elegance!
I love this product for its refinement: its wide range of scents, its rich shaving leather and its elegant packing.

Extremely happy with this variety pack
Glad I purchased this. I was about to buy the sandalwood as it’s the most popular. I tried it. It’s not bad just not the best of the bunch for me. This pack allows me about 3/4 generous lather shaves per sample. I value the variety and highly recommend before you’re stuck with a full tub/tubs. The soap is very soft, more a cream.

The Value Is Found In The Variety
I have to say I loved this sample pack. I didn't love it because the cost per ounce was incredible. I also didn't love it because of the portion or amount in each container, no I loved it because it delivered as it was expected to deliver. As I began to look at the different "flavors", I made a list of the ones I knew I would love, and these were added to my wish list prior to Christmas. Clearly, I was offering an easy win for those who were interested. Then, I saw this sample set. I removed those I placed on the wish-list and decided to let the sample kit ride. I can tell you that the ones I thought I would love, I didn't. In fact, those that I had overlooked based on their description, ended up being real treats. This is the purpose of a sample pack-to try out all the "flavors" without being tied down the buying them all.If you do the math(13 containers of .5tbsp each; 3.25 oz total), $31.93 breaks down to $9.82/oz, and that is expensive. Yet, any time you don't buy in volume, it is going to cost more. If you buy the large 5.3oz tub for $16.99, the shaving cream is 3.21/oz. If you buy the 2.5oz tube, it will cost $14.47 or $5.79/oz. The smaller tub which cost $12.98, holds 2.03oz and is 6.39/oz.Again, a sample pack is not about economy buying, it is about having the luxury to try everything you can so your next purchase or purchases will be based on what you like and not taking a shot in the dark. This is where the value of this purchase is found. If I purchase 4 more tubs, they can be the ones I most want. They will be the ones I want the most, not a guess. But this review does not stop here.West Coast Shaving has provided good containers that can be used again, for travel or whatever else you might dream of. The containers are clearly marked, but not necessarily permanently. Moreover, WCS has a good reputation as being a reliable and trustworthy seller on Amazon and their website. For those who have offered 1, 2, or 3 star ratings, the concerns have been over value and the size of the sample container. I have stated my thoughts on the "value". The size of the container should not matter. One does not dip their brush into the container to "load" their wet brush, instead an amount the size of an almond is placed in the bowl/scuttle(this assumes the use of a moderate sized badger brush). In this case, more than 4 portions are in the container. As an added plus, those scents you don't care for can become "lather practice" portions.

Tiny Amounts Recieved
Looks as though an aftermarket seller puts small amounts of each shaving cream into baby cannister. At over $30 id expect to have at least as much as a full sized container. See photo for reference.

Good for a few samples
I knew these wouldn't arrive in manufacturer containers, so that didn't bother me. This is a good, albeit expensive, way to try the various shave creams from ToBS. However, the creams do tend to dry out after a few months (before I could get to all of them because I only wet shave about twice a week). I have found that I can re-hydrate them and they work fine, but it can be tough to remove from the small jars when dried out.
