This hat has one thing going for it and that is the wide brim, other than that it was not a good fit on my head. The inside is deep so when you pull the hat down it blocks your vision. If you don't pull the hat down all the way it makes you look weird. You can adjust the brim so that you can see but then the sun is shining in your eyes. Bottom line if you have a small head find another hat.

The chin strap is garbage (the reason for 2 stars). After 1 use, the fastener stopped working. I wore it on the 2nd day of our vacation and the hat blew off my head and down the beach. I thought I hadn't tightened the chin strap, so I put it back on my head. It turns out the fastener was loose and would no longer tighten. So the hat was pretty much useless on the beach, which was the only reason I bought it.So not great for wearing in high winds, but it's fine for wearing out on breezelsss errands. It's meh in terms of comfort, but that could be because it was a bit too large for me and kept falling over my forehead.

I bought this to cover my upper face while walking in my neighborhood. Not really wanting to get to know everyone driving by, I feel more comfortable having my own 'space' and some privacy. I also like the fact that the top is ventilated, because unventilated hats make my head start itching almost immediately. Fits well, neither too large or small.
