I bought this because it was recommended due to the magnet
Just like my title says. I was sick of all of these generic name brand “magnetized “bit holders. Joke, everything else is junk compared to this.It has no problem pulling three coded exterior 3 inch torques head screws out of my nail pouch by just sticking the head of my drill gal in the house by itself. If you were having magnet problems with other units, this is the end all be all. It’s expensive, and I’ll definitely be buying more of them but again of all this brand’s products driver bits, this has the MOST magnetization by far let alone ANY other brand hands down. No comparison. I will be purchasing again and 100% recommending to my other contractor friends

Not worth it
Love all my other wear products except this one. Quite a let down. Retaining ring to me means that it moves around and holds on to the actual screw. Secondly the magnetization needs to be a lot stronger. 3” #8 T25 construction screws fall right of with any movement. My recommendation would be to get the Makita 3” or 6” XDs bits with a couple of their $3 or $4 dollar retaining rings. They last forever and you almost have to break the screw off like snapping a glow stick to get em off if you don’t screw them in.

Good with impact driver -- saves bits
I bought an impact driver as I had a lot of screws to insert (ie hundreds and hundreds). Immediately noticed that the bits did not last long -- some shattered after a few screws, few lasted beyond 50. I tried different brands of bit including DeWalt, Milwaukee, etc, but there was little difference. After researching the problem I bought this WERA impact bit holder. This claimed to soften the impact and reduce force on the bits. It workde. I've used it for a few months now and realise I have only used a couple of bits in that time (previously I was using one or two a day).If you have an impact driver I recommend this bit holder. If you don't have an impact drive, you are missing out as they make driving screws almost effortless (and the noise they make is very impressive to onlookers).I have had to give a star rating for "sheerness" but don't know what that means.....

Superb straight holder from WERA....again
Wera are offering something a bit special here especially in comparison to standard 1/4" (6.35mm) hex drive bit holders.Whereas the usual ones can suffer anything from falling out bits continually to just snapping or whatever problem you experience this bit holder is a good few steps up and with that excellent high-torque drill you own then an excellent bit holder is an absolute must, afterall you have probably spent a few hundred on a new drill so why put a £0.50p bit holder in it's chuck ? You wouldn't put remoulds on a Ferrari and expect top notch grip now, would you ? Treat one of your most important tools to the bits it deserves and it'll treat you right back.It has special torque maximising flex zones that work in three dimensions to help ensure that all that extra power you just paid for is put into the tip of your chosen bit, not flying off somewhere or wrecking the head on some fixing you want to drive home securely.Used in combination with Wera's excellent range of bits, like the diamond tipped Pozi's, they really are fantastic and a little godsend especially when up against the clock. Excellent.

Holds my scredriver bits.
Just using this in a combi-drill for now, so can't comment on its survivability in an impact driver. Holds bits very tight, sometimes it's a fiddle to get the bit out.Very well made though and seems perfectly straight to me, so no wobbling while trying to fasten screws.Very Happy with my purchase.I haven't rated it for "Sheerness" or the "thickness" as I'm not sure what "sheerness" means in this context and the thickness is just irrelevant...

Great build quality, perfect for heavy use. Worth every penny.
After years in the trade i was put onto this bit holder and in my honest opinion its the best ive ever used! I cant begin to express how happy i am with it.The magnet inside never fails to assit in keeping a screw on the bit. The overall build of the holder appears to be made very well being as the body seems to be stainless steel and the hex shaft a impact grade steel.Try it! You'll never go back.

Best I've ever used
I have had this bit holder before I think it would have lasted for ever until I lost it.Strong magnetic hold .bit dose not get jammed even when heavily used with an impact driver. Others I've had I have to use grips to remove or change bit.
