Well, I never thought I'd be writing a review of something as relatively dull as a mattress. However, like others who have reviewed this item, I felt compelled to do so.For years, too many if I'm honest, I'd held onto my conventional pocketed spring mattress. For years it was showing signs of its age and I eventually caved in to the wife's "suggestion" that a replacement mattress was way overdue.Being the sort of person that deeply studies reviews and not prone to impulse purchase decisions, I duly searched around. I first scoured the web for sites focusing on bedroom furniture. My initial option was to go for a cheap coil spring mattress, the cheapest of all types, and if I got more than a year out of it, then that was a bonus. Now, let me say that memory foam mattresses were not on my shopping list whatsoever. I had always slept in what might be thought of as traditional type sprung mattresses and wasn't convinced about the new fangled, OK, not so new, memory foam options.I chopped and changed my mind, now settling on a more expensive pocketed spring mattress from a well known British brand. I was close to purchasing this when I came across the Novilla "hybrid" mattress. After a bit of research, I realized that hybrid mattresses offered the best of both worlds. The load bearing support of pocketed springs with the benefits of body contouring memory foam. Seeing the high average review score, I began to see this as a much more compelling choice. In addition, I was shocked at how inexpensive the various models were in comparison to the pocketed sprung mattress I was about to buy. The option I eventually went for, a King size 20cm thick model, was even cheaper than the cheapest basic coil sprung offering I had first considered. Further, the Novilla mattress came with a whopping 10 year warranty and even a 100 night sleep trial.Reading the many reviews convinced me that this hybrid technology was perhaps the future. So many people rated it five stars that the consensus became the final push I needed to buy.Another consideration that I found appealing, was the fact that these types of mattresses come in a box! This is a real boon, not least of all was the minimal space said box occupied. In fact, upon delivery of ours, I was convinced prior to opening that we had been sent a single, not king, size in error. I had expected the box to be 5 feet tall, given it was rolled and vacuum packed. Looking at the diminutive box standing around 3 feet tall and approximately 14 inches on a side, I felt sure we had the wrong size. Once we had laid the heavy rolled up squished mattress onto the divan top and unrolled it, I could see now that it was also folded over in half length ways. Amazing to think that such compression could be done without damage to the multiple pocket springs. Once we broke the seal on the bag using the handy tool included, the hiss of air could be heard. As we tore open more and more, the hiss became louder. Like magic, the mattress began to expand like a lilo being inflated. We jumped at one point when it flipped open like a book, now attaining its 5 foot full width. In less than 10 minutes the mattress was fully expanded. The manufacturers state waiting up to 72 hours, but I think in most cases you will be able to use it within an hour for sure. Ours looked completely normal after just 10 minutes.I had to flip the mattress over using the handy fabric handles on the sides as the hybrid design has two layers. The pocketed spring layer must be on the bottom with the memory foam on top. It's easy to determine which side is which.So how is this new mattress? In a word, brilliant!I have a similar story to others here. My wife had been suffering from leg pain while sleeping on our old mattress, and I had sometimes experienced hip ache when sleeping on my side as well as often getting up with lower back stiffness. Almost a week into using the new mattress, both my wife and I have not experienced pain, it's amazing. These mattresses contour and support the body, unlike my old, rather hard, conventional mattress where you slept "on" it. With this, you sleep more "in" it. This mattress is softer than I'd been used to. Mind you, my old mattress was a semi orthopaedic hardness that aged poorly. Side sleeping for me is so much more comfortable now, it's lovely.So often one doesn't know how bad something is until they experience something better. This has been the case with this Novilla hybrid mattress. Now, sleep comes far easier than it used to and I can't believe I waited so long before getting one of these.Oh, don't forget to register your purchase. Novilla provide a nice booklet, not just a sheet of paper, that contains care instructions for your new mattress. In it you will also find the link to their website for registering your product. Doing this will trigger your 100 night sleep trial as well as your warranty, so be sure to do this.Get one. What do you have to lose? With the 100 night sleep trial, if you don't like it, you get a refund and the mattress is taken away for you. Personally, I will never go back to a conventional type mattress and, for the price, it simply can't be beaten.

Decided to buy a new mattress as our old one serviced us 10 years and it's time to get a new one. From ordering to receiving would rate as excellent service. Amazon never let me down. Mattress has arrived quicker than expected. Well wrapped in a vacuum bag and packed in a box. Very heavy so would recommend 2 man lifting.As I have mentioned mattress packed in a bag so placed the mattress on a bed,unpacked and let it expand for a while.It's a month time after I have purchased it and can give my first opinion. Comfortable nights guaranteed as the mattress is not to soft and not to hard. Very comfi sleep, I personally think because of springs and memory foam.Not sure if there is a need to turn it over after a while. I didn't do it. It is under warranty and I think there is no need as it's all covered. Mattress is breathable and while sleeping you are not sweating at all. Made of very strong material so will last for ages. The last bit is a price. I think it's a bargain for the quality you get. Would definitely recommend to a friend.

Package is really good and compact but a bit heavy. Really easy to unpack and place mattress where you need and just wait till it’s expands as it packed in vacuum . Bought it for my son . He is really excited . Main thing hi is sweating a lot then hi sleeps this is the reason why I bought this mattress , 6 night he has completely comfy and dry nights . Sleep quality much better is well hi is not waking up any more since we bought it . So he is not sweating he is enjoying his mattress and it is very cozy and his is happy boy . It’s very comfortable mattress and reasonable price with high standards quality . Highly recommended

Honestly I was very nervous to buy a cheap mattress over Amazon but WOW the mattress is actually really good especially for its low price. My sister even said she was shocked at how “cloudy& comfortable” the mattress feels. This is the first Amazon review I’ve ever actually spent time writing.. because I want others who are hesitant to buying this to see how good it is!

Double mattress. Arrived in a few days in a cylindrical box without damage. The mattress is vacuum packed, and should be opened with a little care to avoid any unwanted cuts. The appearance is beautiful, and conveys confidence. The springs are there and you can feel it (I write this because in a review it was questioned!), They are on the underside. Left open for 48 hours, and for now I am very satisfied ... the mattress has the right stiffness, but without exaggerating. Let's see in the coming weeks if it will lose shape or consistency (I hope not).

This mattress was purchased to replace a ordinary sprung mattress which had become extremely uncomfortable..It arrived in a box and was vacuum packed..We unpacked it, unrolled it,and left it to expand to its proper size. as per the instructionsIn .In our case we bought a small double..When it was ready to use we were amazed at the comfort and quality of this product.It is a delight to sleep on.You can buy this with absolute confidence of getting an excellent night's sleep,in our opinion.Brilliant value for money.I would definitely recommend this mattress.

The mattress arrived very fast and packaged in an easy compact way to get into the house and unpack.It is very comfortable and not too soft which is good for my back.It is of great value for money. I am very pleasant with this purchase.

I bought this mattress with a view to relieve my severe arthritic hip and knee pain- it is soo good!! It's excellent quality and has the top of the mattress padded with deep soft memory foam - it's like sleeping on air! Iv had the most comfortable nights sleep for years even though I was sleeping on a cushioned mattress overlay I recieved from the occupational therapist 15 years ago ! I fully recommend it
