After reading all 175 speaker reviews on Amazon and Parts Express, checking audio websites, and watching several YouTube evaluation videos, I ordered the Dayton Audio T652 Air speakers on a Sunday; they were delivered the following Wednesday. The speakers came in one large double box, with ¾” foam panels surrounding each one. Size matters; the speakers’ relatively small size was a major purchasing factor. These speakers replaced two ancient (1985) Fisher DS-825 large and heavy speakers (about 62 lbs), while the Dayton speakers are much slimmer and lighter (about 34 lbs), easier to move, and a better fit for our house.My wife and I are in our early 70s, so we may not be able to detect all the improved sound qualities. But we’ve been listening to jazz and blues for several days, and the sound quality is amazing. We’re hearing music and vocals in ways we haven’t heard before. Sitting on the floor in front of the speakers (with the tweeters at ear level) improved the sound even more. But elevating the speakers are not an option for us, so we’re not able to take full advantage of the speakers’ quality.Plus, I doubt that we’d notice much difference between these speakers and more expensive floor-standing speakers, especially given our risk of age-related hearing loss. Given our hearing and placement limitations, we are completely satisfied with the speakers. It’s rare to find this degree of quality at such a low price.

They are a nice little tower speaker with reasonable sound but require more power to get comfortable volume and are weak on bass
