Hard to measure in smaller batches
This is designed for 5-6 gallons, but with some tinkering u can use in 1gallon batches. My logic states that if its used for 5-6 gallons and i have 5-6 individual 1 gallon carboys? All i gotta do is cut it by ML. So i did that and it was mix results. The hard seltzer took it fine. It went from cloudy to almost crystal clear over night. The hard cider and my Muscadine wine fought it. So for higher particles in the fluids, i added double whatever my math was and it finally started showing promise. I will wait till the end of September to see how much more it does clear it.I think this method is ok but huge warning! It does add Allergen danger to anybody that cannot eat or drink seafood. It has shellfish in the ingredients!!I will probably for the sake of making my booze safer for everyone, try the filter system instead. Yeah its kinda pricey but u can’t put a price on safety when u want to have a product that makes everyone happy n safe.

Works well, but not miracles
Most of the wines / meads I make are able to get to a nice clarity by cold-crashing alone, but some fruits wind up more difficult than others. This blueberry mead was still cloudy after cold crashing for a week and racking twice, so I gave Super-Kleer a try. Right away, it was able to improve the clarity a fair bit, but not enough to be commercially acceptable. The pics show it 1) after cold crashing, 2) after Super-Kleer part 1, and 3) after Super-Kleer part 2 and a few more days in the fridge. The packets are dosed for 5-6 gallons, and are a very convenient way to go if you are using 5-6 gallon carboys, but very inconvenient for smaller batches than that. This is a perk if you brew in 5 or 10 gallon batches and a problem for smaller experimental brewers - and in either case, the two-step process is a bit more time intensive than simple bentonite.

Mixed results
I've used this three times, with three different results. First time was with banana wine and it cleared it in 1 or 2 days, was great result. Second time was a pineapple wine and it cleared 1/2 and then stalled out. I stirred it and in four more days it cleared the carboy, so that was good too. The most recent time I had watermelon wine and it has done nothing to it after a week. I tried tasting it also and it tasted gross, think it's a crustacean taste so something is hanging the particles in solution.

Works great
12 hours after use my wine was almost completely kleer.

Effective! No flavor that I noticed; difficult to measure for smaller batches
I just wish they sold this sized for 1 gallon batches. I ended up buying a mini beaker/pipette with ml measurement markings set so I could measure out the correct amounts. Each blister pack contains about 10ml kieselsol and 50ml chitosan,
