RYOBIRY18FGA-0 18V ONE+ Cordless Fogger/Chemical Sprayer (Bare Tool)

Weve tried numerous different cleaning solutions in this device. Some just spray out like water, some do mist reasonably but all of them when you release the trigger splatter out making a royal mess that has to be wiped up. We use a cheap Chinese plug in fogger which works brilliantly but wanted the freedom of cordless the Ryobi offers but sadly its not upto Ryobi's normally high standards. It now sits on the shelf as an expensive un used piece of kit.

For the mess this has just caused in our office Ryobi should be ashamed of themselves for calling this a fogging machine. I tried this outdoors briefly, and it seemed to fog OK, with what appeared to be only slightly too much moisture for my liking. Test done, so I brought it into our office to do the job it was intended. All was going well until after about 30 seconds, then it just sprayed a fountain of liquid. No more fogging, just a fountain!! Thank goodness I was nowhere near the computer!! In the brief few seconds I had my finger on the trigger it drenched the carpet over a 20ft distance and wouldn't stop even after I took my finger off. In case anyone is wondering whether I set it up correctly.............it comes ready to use out of the box! Dreadful product, which I hope hasn't caused lasting damage to the carpet it soaked. I may aswell have bought a hosepipe for the damage it has caused. Not good at all!

I wanted something to replace my droplet sprayers (manual pump). They were fine but it was difficult to get bugs where leaves had curled up and I ended up drenching the plant. Also difficult to get this higher up. So I tried this which was expensive as I had to purchase a charger and battery separately but it makes such a difference. The mist is perfect for applying insecticide to plants and it is so powerful it will reach very high places and being a mist it gets into those curled up leaves where black fly lurk. Really pleased and I have seen a difference in my fruit trees this year although the weather has prevented me from getting a good crop this year.

I'll start by saying I love Ryobi one tools and have over 20 with which perform well. This one has left me a little disappointed as it performed more like a spray than a fogger. I used this to apply sulphur rose solution to a number of large rose bushes.It was faster than a hand pump spray and because it was continuous it probably gave a better coverage than stopping to pump up pressure every couple of minutes with traditional spray. As said in heading it was not a mist or fog but rather more of a broad jet. Given that spraying the roses was the main driver for purchasing this I am rating it good, would it be good for anything else not so sure.

Pros: It works and is one+ to work along with other One+ range meaning that of you have other tools that are Ryobi One+ with batteries you can use them with this.Cons: Instructions are not that good. It comes with 2 filters one for outdoor and one for indoor. But instructions don't tell you clearly which tube you have to fit it to inside the tank.Also when lifting trigger off the trigger it's more of a jet stream than a fog. So be prepared to do some wiping down.
