Great therapy game for impulse control and ADHD
Ok it’s not giftable except to another therapist but it’s VERY playable since you only read out some of the cards. Play is rapid, which keeps kids engaged, but they have to pay attention to the numbers and then read and respond to the prompts/questions. The rules are adaptable to maintain concentration but require planning so lots of execution functioning practice. A little complicated but the kids caught on before their parents. The cards are a little repetitive but since you only use a small selection, that’s not a big problem. Great for families!

Great questions
The questions on the cards spark great conversations in my clinical therapy practice with children, however the kids and I have come up with our own way to play since the rules themselves didn’t make much sense

Perfect for all kids
This card game is perfect for active kids. I have two you g boys and they had a blast but the game also gave them the opportunity for critical thinking and expression. I highly recommend it for all parents but especially those with kids who struggle woth impulse control and hyperactivity. My family loves it!

Excellent Resource
I play this impulsive Eddie game with my rambunctious 8 year old. I do not like the directions of the game which says to pass out all the cards- well there are way too many to manage this in my opinion. Instead we do our own Go Fish type of game where whoever gets a match gets to ask the other person one of the questions. For example, if I get a bone match I ask a question of my son from one of the bone cards. What I really enjoyed were his answers and how it helped me to understand his needs. By me answering questions he got to see me as a person who struggles with impulses as well- he’s not alone. We became more of a team in learning how he can best learn to control his impulses. The cards with the dog Eddie are cute and super motivating for kids. I think making the game around a cute dog was a good way to break the ice and put the pressure on Eddie and not the kids. There are so many good questions around making better choices. I was worried my son wouldn’t like it because it’s therapeutic, but he really enjoys it.This would be great for parents, teachers, and therapists to use in their practice. It’s a small game of cards so easy to carry in purse or bag. Def recommend.
