High fidelity sound!
If you only listen to USB source and use balanced preamp, this little DAC will serve you well to produce fantastic sound! The DAC accepts only USB input. It either outputs optical/coax digital signal or balanced analog signal, which you may connect to a preamp that supports balanced input or connect to a preamp that only supports single-ended input through XLR to RCA adaptors. There are plenty of technical reviews that quantify the excellency of this little DAC. From my experience, either through Topping L30/Sennheiser HD600, or Schiit Vali2+/Vidar/loudspeaker, the classical or jazz music I played are full of details with quite flat frequency response. Double bass, “screaming" violin, smooth piano or vocal all sound natural from it.I also like the orange display with large font. It is easier to read from a distance than the topping D30. Another advantage of this DAC is it does not need extra power as the USB cable provides both power and signal! There are limitation of input and output types. But this is such a cost-effective and high quality DAC if the limitation is not a problem for you. Recommended!

Power, and clarity.
The d10b and pa3s combo is very powerful and perhaps most importantly very crisp and clear. Its unreal the amount of power this tiny little box makes, and paired with the d10b it opens up a level of sound you cant appreciate on lesser equipment, the detail it can provide will have you listening to things you know very well and saying "I didnt realize that instrument is playing too" , or "I've never heard the thing in that movie doing that before."For the price this cant be touched.

Clear and Open Sound
I run this little DAC through a pair of JBL 305P powered speakers and a Yamaha HS8S 8 inch Powered Studio Subwoofer as my living room sound system. All connections are via Good quality XLR to XLR connectors except for the D10B which uses TRS 6.35mm Jacks. The sound is as clean and clear as I have ever heard. The difference from my previous DAC is enormous. This is a really excellent DAC and well worth the money in my opinion.Could they improve it? Yes. Ditch the S/PDIF outputs, put in a headphone jack, replace the TRS jacks with XLRs.Would I buy one again. Absolutely, yes.

It measures flawless, but no filter options so be careful what you wish for.
It's measures great, but the default filter is a proper one, so you'll hear everything with complete transparency. Some reviewers claim it's bright sounding, when they're used to a DAC with a slow rolloff filter and then suddenly complaining about hearing what's really there. Get the cables for it pictured since the adapters make it look like a rocket ship unless you wrap them in something black like matte black vinyl automotive wrap. The USB connector is the weak spot, plug it in and out too many times and it can feel loose. Also there's no on/off switch, so you'll need a barrel USB adapter with an inline rocker switch to turn it on and off at the desktop manually. It only uses a tiny amount of power, so you'll spend more on the switch than you'll save on electricity though... No frills, or remote, but use this with a Sabaj A20h and it's an end game setup for peanuts. Even the A90 I use sounds great, same with the Topping A30Pro if you need single ended power.
