Great lighting, very effective!This a great lighting kit, very effective, and makes the set pop. It was reasonably easy to set up if you take your time. We've also used this store for the hocus pocus lighting kit which is also brilliant.

This is a fantastic lighting kit, expensive but the results are nothing short of spectacular! However buyer beware, this kit takes time and patience to fit, much more actually than building the Home Alone house in the first place. It's a quality product, that requires attention to detail and dexterity to complete. In short, it's a challenge, but rewards a skilled and patient approach.

Very confused bought this a while ago but only just started to build this Lego set I did not know that it didn’t come with a USB power box I have bought two already and not one of them work I know it’s the power box because I pulled the USB apart and placed in to my USB port on my plug socket and the strip of lights came on I have just bought another two power boxes see if I get any luck this time around

The item is clearly listed as a light kit only and the seller sends a follow-up message to confirm this.The kit contains all the tools you need and provides a YouTube link showing accurate and detailed instructions on how to assemble the light kit onto a pre built Lego camper van. It is a bit fiddly to do, so younger children would need help from an adult.

These lights are fantastic. My son is a keen collector of Lego and speed champions. I often see the lights and this is the first time I decided to go with it. What a great item. Lego bricks infused with LED lamps. Fitting is a little fiddly due to the nature of the small model, but worth the effort. Buy with confidence.

First the pros, it all looks so so stunning when each part is working, and each type of wire comes in great easy open and seal bags. Now the cons, can not see it all working as two of the wires delivered where broken and one missing. In fairness one of the two broken wires might have been broken by me trying to put it in as the two black wire connecting type have no way to easily tell which way round to fit, but other was broken when arrived for sure. Later bought replacement wires from other firm as they do not do spare wires and they worked fine but still not every part worked at once could get one floor working or another but when I tried all on at once it seemed to short out guessing not enough power to do all the lights at same time. Taking down at Christmas found the untouched USB connector for van also had issue and while had been working fine all year the insulation was coming off the wires so opted to take the model apart to build again next year without the parts in as while they make the model look good on display I worry about faulty elections and the putting them into the model weakens it causing it to easily fall apart as wires are supposed to be placed between bricks. The idea of the wireless bricks is also great for letting you take each floor at the front of but its not used for the back kitchen and basement meaning you can not longer separate this part or open up the floors and access all the stuff in it without the short wire coming opt so you have to be careful on how you use it meaning you loss most of the fine detail and even when you are taking the floors off the front they now have lights and circuit boards on the bottom so you risk damage putting them on flat surfaces and have to rest on ever side, also the top floor is too light to maintain constant connection and each day I had to press it down again. I think had the rest of it been fit for purpose I would have got a sant slay to go on the roof and that would stop it drifting up but alas its fit only for small electric dump with broken and fault parts taken out so as not to risk hurting someone.

The components are labelled clearly however, the instructions are online and the pictures not very clear. I can’t comment on how it looks finished as I am still waiting for the seller to get back to me regarding faulty prices which are rendering the lights unusable for now.

It’s for Christmas so not yet opened

My ten year old nephew has really had a terrible trouble trying to make the lighting kit work and has been wholly unsuccessful. We purchased it for his tenth birthday in June along with the dinosaur Lego T. rex Skull 76964. And now his older brother (aged 12) who was trying so very hard to help, seems to have accidentally pulled the wires out of a tiny plastic connector and thus it is broken. No spares were included in the packet so we could try and re-connect it and now the plastic connector has been lost.The instructions were not very good. For example, it is impossible to tell which way the plugs should be inserted into the socket and whether the battery pack needs to be plugged in if the power is already plugged in. The socket also seemed to be getting unreasonably warm.Before my elder nephew tried to help, I intervened and after a number of attempts of inserting the white plastic plugs into the sockets I successfully performed Test 1. Now not even the wire with the lights that is undamaged even works.This has caused such a lot of upset and disappointment for the birthday boy. There have been plenty of tears. And my elder nephew feels terrible he couldn’t make the lighting system work at all and obviously broke it in the attempt to make it work.I would like a refund and to give this feedback overall: the quality of the product is not good, spare parts should be included, and there should be clear labelling “not for kids” on the packaging if it’s so difficult to actually set up and should ONLY be attempted by an adult.
