7070-3 Bluetooth Enabled Lock box, Wall Mounted

First one busted. Second one works well so far. Great remote access.
I purchased this from A&K Warehouse on here, and unfortunately the first lock I received only actually unlatched maybe 1/10 times, despite pairing successfully and the box beeping when I'd hit the unlock button. This really isn't acceptable when somebody absolutely needs access to the key inside. Luckily, the seller sent me a replacement that works just fine.So far, this does exactly what I want it to! I can send temporary keys to anybody I want, and can define exactly the amount of time those keys are valid when I send them. You can send either a "Standard Key" which allows somebody unlimited access to the box (until/unless you revoke access) or you can send a "time-limited key", where you can select dates, time period of the day(s), and even allow recurring door access, which is nice for if you have, say, a cleaner or dog walker or somebody who comes at recurring schedules. It can even send you a text notification every time a particular user opens the box! They have both iPhone and Android apps available. I can only speak to the Android version. Overall it is clean and decent, but I do notice that it seems to want to run in the background too much and can drain my phone battery. Easy enough to force-kill.Note that one thing I really like about the lockbox is that it does NOT need to have wifi access. Yes, the phone of the user trying to open it will need wi-fi or cellular data in order to open the lockbox, but the box itself doesn't need to be registered to any wi-fi service. That makes opening it much more flexible and reliable than any wi-fi boxes, where if the associated wi-fi network is down, then you are absolutely unable to get into the box!Set-up was easy and fast - scan the QR code on the device to add it to your account. Note that once the device is registered to an account, nobody else can register it (which makes complete sense, or anybody could just scan the QR code to register it to themselves and gain access!) so if you want to re-sell or give this to somebody else, you must first de-register it from your account. It takes 4 AA batteries, and they provide a 9V battery emergency plug you can use should those batteries die. Note - there is NO ALTERNATIVE WAY TO OPEN THE BOX should the electronics inside completely fail in some way. I think that is acceptable, just don't, like, store some valuable jewelry inside or something! The lockbox is quite heavy and durable. Honestly, for my personal use-case where I want to allow somebody else to *take* the lockbox and provide them limited remote access that I control (its complicated), I kind of wish the box were lighter. But, for the price and features, this is pretty good. Unfortunately, I can't speak to how weather-proof it is, but I'd personally probably try to mount it in a dry place if possible, given the electronics.I think Nu-Set could do a better job at documentation and tutorials online. It is a great product, but they could definitely put a bit more effort into their website, manuals, and videos.

Update from original rec (Inconsistant & frustrating)
Update 10/12/17- Company responded to my email & after speaking with their tech sent a new unit overnight. Chose not to update the firmware (which apparently is only to increase the unlatching time from 3 to 5 seconds) and the unit works perfectly now. They will replace my second unit also. We'll see how long the unit functions reliably and how long the batteries last, but am now happy with the unit and the quick response of the company.Original rec:Bought one for our house & had difficulty unlocking it until I used the 9V adapter. Updated the firmware, changed the batteries & it seemed to solve the problem. Tried it again a couple weeks later had difficulty unlocking it again. Finally got it open & it worked for the next few tries. Bought a second one for our cabin, thinking the problems were just a glitch. Upgraded the firmware & had to try a few times to unlock it. Opened a couple times consistently so I mounted it. Then it wouldn’t unlock. During all the failures, the unit would beep, the app would say “unlocked” and a text was sent to my phone, but the lock never “clicked” like it does when it opens. Very, very frustrating. I made the mistake of having my wife try to open it when I was away. After 9 tries it unlocked, but she was beyond frustrated. Then she was unable to close it & lock it.The company’s web site is no help in troubleshooting. If speaking directly to them doesn’t solve the problem, I will return them. The concept of the lockbox is great, but the execution is lacking. More to follow...
