interesting ideas / information
I found this both interesting and easy to read through. For anyone involved in sport and particularly coaching its a useful read. I am not a coach but it changed my views on various aspects of how elite athletes would become elite.I think it would be of interest to people outside of sport too (though not perhaps as much)..I could imaging that a coach's copy would have various sections marker penned for future reference.I felt it covered sufficient breadth of team and individual sports to be useful in both and it included some interesting anecdotes.

Thought Provoking
A great book. Well researched and neatly organized to give a complete and compelling summary of what we truly know about about developing high potentials. As a coach, I found this very thought provoking. Despite 'knowing' a lot of the content, the book summarizes the key elements and supports them with research data. It also dispels some 'truths' and gives some eye opening background as to why we have stuck to some crazy/idiotic ways. Well worth a read!!

Interesting statistical discoveries about the patterns of successful sportspersons
Interesting statistical discoveries about the patterns of successful sportspersons. The main drawback: Much of the book are stories about the lives of various sportspersons, as well as long quotations. These quotations are somewhat boring.
