A Functional Fashion Accessory
Up until a month ago, I didn't plan on ever needing a product like this. As a healthy, active individual, I was surprised when I woke up one day and could not walk due to extreme pain in my hip. After a week of reporting to our local emergency room and being sent home with instructions to take Advil, a new ER doctor finally figured out that I had a septic arthritic hip and had me transported by ambulance to a large city hospital an hour away. At first doctors told my husband that because of the delay in treatment, my body had become septic, and I may not pull through. Another possibility was that my leg may have to be amputated at the hip. Thankfully, those events did not occur. After spending ten days in ICU and step down units, I was able to move back in with my retired parents for 24 hour care and supervision. For a month, I used a wheelchair and walker. Then, with physical therapy, it was time to advance to using a cane. Doctors have told me that because of the amount of damage done to the hip, I may require the use of a cane indefinitely. I have always equated the use of a cane to being elderly, and I am very sensitive about aging. After stewing and feeling sorry for myself, I decided to make the best of the situation. I ordered this fun, yet functional, cane on Amazon as if it was a fashion accessory. This cane is very sturdy and is easily adjustable. The handgrip is soft but not spongy. It is quite comfortable, which is important to me, since I use it at all times. The tip of the cane seems to grip even slippery surfaces well. The cane folds and unfolds easily, which will be an important feature when I am able to drive. The first time I appeared in public with my cane, I received many enthusiastic compliments. My adult children say this cane "screams my name." This fun cane lets me still be me, and it's one small piece in not letting myself be defined by this unexpected disability. I am still the same fun-loving person that I have always been!

Great Cane - Highly Recommend
This is a very good cane. I love that this company makes fun, bold looking mobility aids.I'm pretty young, 24 to be exact, and I like that this cane matches my personality and young looking style, rather than making me look old. When looking for a mobility aid, I thought I'd only use it sometimes, but after receiving it, I've been using it almost daily. It's so helpful for my hip, knee, back, and ankle pain. It also helps when I'm dizzy, lightheaded, weak, or just feeling 'off'.My only complaint is that the cane was 2 inches too tall, when shortened to its minimum of 33". I didn't realize this until I bought it, because this is the first cane I've ever purchased. I'm 5'4", so I'm not very short - in fact, 5'4" is considered average height, here in Utah. My husband had to remove the rubber tip, slice off 2 inches from the bottom for me, and then replaced the rubber tip. It works, but I really wish there were more options for sizes. I was pretty surprised that the cane was too tall for me when I first bought it.On a related note, I have an online friend who has this exact same cane, which is the reason I bought it, too - they raved about how much they love it. They're around 5'8", so they have nothing but great things to say about it.I give this product 4/5 stars because it's great quality, lightweight, it folds, and it's FUN looking, but it's, also, unfortunately too tall for my average sized body. That was somewhat easily fixed by my husband, though. All in all, this was a great purchase.

love this
I'm in my mid 20s, but after battling arthritis since early childhood, as well as suffering from dysautonomia, i find myself truly needing the support of a cane. I have been fighting this since i was 16.I bought two colors, moss floral and the black with pink roses. Quality wise I absolutely love both they're fantastic canes and they fit in my purse. The moss floral pattern isn't quite what I was expecting, it's just simply not my style. I'm debating returning it, or keeping as a spare because it is still cute, just doesn't match my clothes. It's hard to get a good look at the patterns from these stock photos and I wear more black than anything, and the moss cane is a brownish color base. The black with roses though, I didn't think it was possible to love a cane this much. It's not a gaudy pattern like the floral canes in the drugstores my great aunt would use, it's just lovely. I've been showing it off, "look how pretty my cane is". It's a stark difference after nearly ten years of hiding from canes, and choosing to limp or lose my balance instead of using an ugly hospital issued cane. I wish I knew I could find such 'youthful' canes years ago.

Function with Style
This is my first cane ever, as I've never really needed one before. I'm twenty-two and have pretty severe chronic pain that's been getting progressively worse, primarily in my back and right hip. When I was told that getting a cane might help me manage my pain, I was worried that I wouldn't be able to find something easy to travel with, comfortable, and stylish; thankfully, this cane meets all the requirements.Since I only use it when my pain is really bad, I love that it folds up so I can carry it in my bag in case I end up needing it when I'm out and about instead of having to bring a full sized cane everywhere. The handle is a wonderful shape and size, and it's not uncomfortable to hold for long stretches of time. The floral design isn't gaudy (as some other ones I looked at were), and I've already gotten compliments on how nice it looks.I use it mostly when I'm out and about for long periods of time (a few hours or more) or if my hip pain is especially bad all day. I also plan on using it at a concert I'm going to as well (it's standing room only), and I'm hoping it'll make the experience more enjoyable!!
