SureFireEP3 Sonic Defenders Filtered Earplugs, Double Flanged Design, Reusable

If you need a low cost, effective and non obtrusive sound protection, this is the option. Use it for NHRA and NASCAR.

After years of abuse, my original set of EP3s cried to be replaced (they still worked OK but the silicone had become stiffer and wouldn't stay in my ears consistently). These new EP3 are super comfortable and stay in place much better than the old ones I had. The silicone flanges are twice the size compared to the original ones and seal out noise very well. I use these when I travel overseas (to doze off during 14-16 hour flights), at the office when I want to focus and I have an additional pair that I keep attached to my USAR helmet. We use all sorts of loud power tools for collapsed structures, trench work and other activities, and having small and comfortable earplugs is great, and I don't get hot and sweaty as I did when using regular earmuffs with my helmet. I'll keep buying EP3s as long as SureFire offers them!(BTW, I also have some EP7s but I find them too bulky and uncomfortable in comparison to the EP3s.)

Comfortable to wear but they only cancel noise so much. Works great for daily use such as tool use but not really sufficient for shooting without doubling up on over the ear protection.

I have what I would like to call the normal ear size, my husband's ears are a little bigger, my kids ears are a little smaller. The EP3 is very large feeling in my ear, we sent these back and went with the EP4 size medium and it's much more comfortable. The EP4 works very well, drowns out a lot background noise so that you can focus on a conversation It was something that worked very well for me when I was having a chronic lyme flare up and having extreme sound sensitivity. I carry these on my keychain now. My husband takes a pare of the EP4s with him when he goes away.on business to drown out the noises at night as well as other people snoring. LOVE THEM, just didn't love the EP3's.

ATTN PREPPERS AND MILITIA FOLKS: These things are great! I went to Max Velocity Tactical training in West Virginia and I had the standard workplace-style earplugs in during a live fire drill with multiple people on range shooting in a coordinated effort. It was cold and I was wearing a balaclava to keep my head/face warm (February in WV) and while I was shooting at a reactive target (aka, suppressing the enemy) my left earplug fell out while I was kneeling beside a tree (to my left). The sound of gunfire erupting all around me as well as from my own rifle reverberating off of the tree gave me a ruptured eardrum. I wasn't able to just stop and remove my gloves and balaclava to readjust my earplugs, I mean, I could have but I didn't want to be that guy...this is some serious training. Anyhow, I noticed that Max (the trainer) was wearing these and I liked how they fit better into the ear canal. Now that I am using them, I find them to be comfortable and quite effective. The best part is that the white or red plug in the middle (as seen in the pic) can be removed to accommodate for your comms. For instance, if you run a throat mic, the sound tube can fit right in there (as it was engineered for) and you don't have to sacrifice hearing protection while using your comms. Buy these or save a lot of money and get some Peltors. My wallet likes EarPro better.

My favorite thing about these is that they stay in place under a full motorcycle helmet.Their noise reduction and filtering is a little better than Vibes, in my opinion. And Vibes are very good.Sound: These do well to reduce damaging wind and exhaust noise while riding. I’m still able to hear music and phone calls playing through the Sena headset in my helmet. The sound is still clear while high decibels and harsh, low engine sounds are reduced.These also worked as well as any standard over-ear protection at the range.Fit: These are the only ear plugs that I’ve found to stay in place while riding. I’m 6’ 2” with pretty average size ears. The Large fit my ears perfectly. For reference, I use the small silicone tips with my AirPod Pros. The large EP3’s stay seated in my external ear the best. The tips seal my ear canals well.

Short review:Fast in, can hold conversation, effective, 8/10 in reliability in my case. Highly recommended for quick use hearing protection that is pocket portable and you might be using a helmet and having a conversation.Long review:Best quick use ear plugs I have ever used. Love them. I use these as a military firefighter and also just used them at Rock am Ring 2016 (Music festival) in Germany. From being 200ft behind and F-16, using vehicle extrication equipment, or being up close to the front stage while the Red Hot Chilli Peppers are playing, these work AWESOME for me. Only problem I had was that mine would keep slipping out a little bit and would lose suction. I would just have to press them in every once in a while. I believe I need to order one size larger. I am sure the foam models would not have the same issue but wouldnt insert as fast. I absolutely LOVE the coloring also (red=right) easy to remember when in a hurry and under stress. I can pull these out of my bunker gear and have them inserted in 5 seconds and they work great. If you are in a job or have a need for ear protection you need to pop in/on real quick these are what you want. I highly highly recommend them to all of my firefighter/ems brothers and sisters. Pop in fast and you can still hear your radio through the hole and hold conversations just fine and they aren't bothered by a helmet or nomex of course. You don't always carry ear muffs with you. It is not hard to have these stuffed in your bunkers/ems pants. Love them.(Update) Own one pair. Cannot order a second because they do not ship to APO. I understand why some items like lithium batteries cant be shipped through amazon overseas. I got these shipped to my APO months ago. Now they dont ship here?!?! Why? Amazon.de sells them for 25 euro, thats twice the price and It doesnt let me chose the black ones. What the heck amazon... You shipped it to me before. Why cant you do it again? Furious because I liked them so much. Now I cannot order these until I live in the States I guess... There is no reason you cannot ship these to an APO/FPO amazon.

Je suis très surpris de la qualité en tout point et de la légèreté et du soulagement que ça me procure au niveau de l'atténuation du bruit ambiant comme par exemple dans des réunions dans un local surtout que je souffre régulièrement d'acouphènes et que le moindre bruit devient insupportable, bravo pour l'inventeur parce que cela n'empêche pas d'entendre les autres parler.

Excellent ear plugs for shooting muzzle loading black powder for reenactments. Because they are clear you hardly see them so fine to wear when safety is important but looking authentic is also a key aim. They are comfortable and with the plugs open you can still hear enough but stay safe. I'm very impressed with these. The little case is also handy to keep them about when needed.

I bought these for blocking ambient noise- my house is by a highway and I love that I can sit in my backyard again! (And still hear conversations!)

Amazing product for work, I use it as an ear insert for my clear tube earpiece and it is fantastic! The audio quality is amazing and it stays in place in my ear perfectly throughout the day. I would highly recommend, especially for the price.

great for backup / on the go purposes but would still recommend something like Howard Leight over these fror every day or frequent use
