Once you use it, you'll stick with it. Pun intended.
I bought this for crafts. Works super well! It got banged around when it was being shipped and a corner got dented. Because of the dent some glue escaped and glued the lid on. Let me emphasize: This glue works REALLY well. I'm a pretty strong guy and I could not get it to budge. I got some work gloves and my heat gun and heated the lid. After heating (to a very high temp.) The glue was loose enough to unscrew. I wasn't happy about it then, but now it's just funny. It works super well on EVA foam, leather, and a few other things I tried. Its most impressive feat was when I read on the container that it's good for shoe repair. I had a pair of cleats where the sole was nearly entirely detached from the shoe. I washed the surfaces to be glued, let them dry completely, and applied the glue to each surface. After the five minute waiting period, I firmly secured the pieces together. I let them dry for a few days (Just to make sure) and I've played with them twice since. No problems. Even better? The first time I took them out I played for 5 hours in the rain under heavy stress.Let me just say, this stuff does its job.

Used with EVA foam
Worked like a charm. Used a mask (smells strong) and did it outside, but sticks real well for Eva foam. Honestly planning to use this for it’s intended purpose too - to glue my poor boot bottoms back on. Be sure to let the glue dry for like 5 minutes (not shiny anymore) before sticking the two glued parts together. Once glued that way, they’re there for life. If you do it too soon, it’ll peel and not stick well.Good product!

High quality glue for high-quality boots.
Barge cement is holding the leather re-soles on my Dan Post cowboy boots. It's very good contact cement.Keep in mind that nothing will repair junky, crumbling, blown rubber or latex soles. The answer for that is to buy better shoes. This is a Five Star product for most of your leather gluing and contact cement needs however this is not a Five Star product for holding felt soles on wading shoes. It's only three stars for that purpose.

Great product-safe delivery
Barge cement- the king for leather. Using on a difficult custom travel bag. Attaching pigskin lining to 6oz leather. Works perfectly, but anyone who is a leather-crafter already knows this.My major praise for this shipment is the fact that the product arrived from Virginia to 116 degree Phoenix without any leakage or damage. The product was securely packed jut in case, and I have had 3 other shipments (from others) that basically completely leaked out and was unusable.Kudos to Amazon for having the guts to offer this (original formula). Thank you to the vendor and shipper who got it here in great shape.

"Live and Learn." Use Only the Best
I used a cheaper named brand - a $3 savings. I had to glue a leather patch on my recliner..Six months later, I had to repair a door mat. The fabric layer was separating from the rubber backing. The cement was applied but refused to set. It was wet for three days - totally useless. I was forced to dump the mat and the cement into the garbage..A second mat began to separate one year later. Barge was employed. It did not have setting problems. It was reliable and worked.."Live and learn." Use only the best.

You Want It To Stick, Don't You?
This is the old formula "Barge" cement that has been used by generations of leather workers and shoe repair tradespeople. And yes, this is the one that contains toluene, often rated as a hazardous material. You want great ventilation when using this product and the recommended mask wouldn't be out of order either.People can tell you a zillion stories about what works to adhere various materials together. You only need to know one thing: this is the best out there for most any job.
