It worked!!
I have a series 3 Land Rover with a 200 Di engine in it, which has done around 160,000 miles. Runs like a dream but was blowing out a fair bit of black smoke on flooring the accelerator. First I put a good dose of Hydra Diesel Power Blast in the tank and gave it a good Italian tune-up. (A high speed blast up the road to blow the cobwebs out) It came back much better but still some smoke. Then I did a proper purge by dipping the fuel and return pipes into the Liqui Moly Diesel Purge, which I had transferred into a clear plastic container so that I could see the level, and running the engine for 20 minutes at varying engine speeds. Result: smoke level reduced to almost nothing, much to my delight and relief as MOT due next month. Recommended product by me, an ex-mechanic.

IT WORKS 😇
I have a 1.5dci Scenic with 35K on the clock. The car is an ex-mobility car & had a few running problems due to short journeys. After replacing an injector (£200) & trying premium disel for a solid month. I tried Forte & Redex treatments with no improvement to a lumpy idol. I bought this after seeing an online review & reading the reviews on Amazon. I didn't bother with disconnecting fuel lines, buying tubing, extra in line filters or any of that gubbins. Poured a 1ltre bottle into 1/4 of a tank to see if it made a difference. The first day saw no improvement of any kind. The second day the engine started the same then after about 20 seconds started running smoother & revving better. By the end of day 2 the engine feels much better.

Think it works
I was unable to use this in the recommended way of disconnecting the fuel line on my Volvo v70 d5 185hp .so I changed the fuel filter and filled the cartridge with this stuff-about half and poured the rest in the tank. I think it still works this way although I'm sure it's more effective to use as recommended .my mpg has gone up and car is very smooth , but I also cleaned out the egr and inlet manifold at the same time so I'm sure that helped. I'll probably use it again when I next change fuel filter

Can be difficult to add to fuel tank without the anti syphone funnels
Having worked on different engines over the years I have used a multitude of cleaners for the fuel systems. However I now only use Liqui moly. I don’t know what’s in this stuff but it certainly does the job. I used the last bottle on a Mondeo mk4 1.8 tdci with 136,000 miles on the clock. I purged the injectors buy filling the fuel filter with the cleaner. Then added the rest to the tank. The results are clear. Smoother running, smoother drive and a noticeable power return. Faultless

Smoke emission reduction?
Used this as part of a general system clean after failing MOT on emissions: smoke tested at 1.34 average over 6 runs - highest was 2.0 !! - where the car needed to be under 1.0 as per manufacturer's spec. Changed the oil after using this LiquiMoly, and changed fuel filter and air filter. Also cleaned out the intake manifold and turbo piping, as there was oil in there which could skew the result. When it went for retest the car blew a smoke reading of 0.09 on the first run, which was an instant pass. Having done other things apart from use this product to get through the MOT smoke test, I couldn't say what its contribution was to the generally very reduced emissions: I can only say that my hunch is that it played its part - and that I'd use it again in a heartbeat. To be honest, for the price, I'll use it at every service from now on.
