I plan to buy another as a gift
Very happy with this dripper. I specifically chose this one for two reasons: I do not want to use the proprietary V60 cylindrical cone filters, and black ceramic matches my existing ceramic dish sets. As an added bonus, that red dot is just a sticker and very easily peels off, so this has a nice clean look. I also like that the bottom of the dropper lip the protrudes inside the mug or cup you put this on top of. It does a great job of keeping the dripper stable and not sliding off, and prevents drops of coffee from running out the side. It also creates a very thin gap between the dripper and cup so steam can escape without condensing too much. The bottom of the dripper has a single 5/8" hole in the very middle. I use #2 filters, which fit perfectly and comes up to about 1/2 inch below the rim. Those are readily available in the coffee aisle of my local store for about $3 for a pack of 100. I really do not think the #1 filters are necessary and very likely will be too small (the fourth picture of this listing shows the #1 filter coming up very short of the rim). Plus, the #1 filters are very hard to find cheaply, and most generic grocery stores won't carry that size anyway. I use this dripper twice a day and . It seems durable and I've ran it through the dishwasher a couple of times with no problems..

Good pour-over filter
I had used a plastic pour-over filter and although it sits more firmly (because it's mass produced and even) I didn't feel like it cleaned up as well as this ceramic one, and I definitely think the coffee taste is better with this. Being ceramic I do have to turn it a bit to be sure it sits firmly on the mug -- it may first wobble somewhat -- but as I collect different types of mugs I was not bothered by that. I have a couple of mugs that the large bottom flange barely fits over, and one that is so large-mouthed that the filter fits just inside the rim of the mug, but I am still able to get it to sit firmly enough to pour into with no problem. As some mentioned, the red dot is just a sticker. There's one large hole in the bottom and the flow never clogs. I rinse with water most days and toss it in the dishwasher a couple of times a week. Very happy with the product.

Bigger and cheaper than Hario but just as good.
Wanted to try a drip coffee maker and started with a glass carafe with a filter in the top...bad mistake. Fragile and poor design.Thought I'd try a ceramic over the cup method and im glad i did. The Hario's are too small for my taste. This one is perfect for approximately 50 ml of liquid (3 cups of water per my old coffee maker). Works with a size 4 cone filter without a hitch. Ive ground my coffee both coarse and fine and it works (and tastes) the same to me. Cheaper than the Hario's and very well built. Im very happy with this purchase.

Great, but not perfect
I'm quite happy with this since I upgraded from a plastic Melitta I found at yard sale. I specifically chose a ceramic one because of how dainty glass can be. My previous plastic one had peeling plastic and I did not want a repeat of that.A few things I love is the heavy weight and matte black finish. These two factors decrease my stress when cleaning so I'm not worried about it shattering nor will I worry about stains. The flat bottom, single hole drainage design is much more forgiving than the Hario and I can consistently brew a good cup without having to have a cup beforehand.I do have some problems, another reviewer mentioned that the filter will split if not properly seated at the bottom. This is a problem I've ran into lately since increasing the amount of grounds for iced coffee. In addition to ensuring that the bottom is laying flush to the bottom, you could fold the bottom over so the fold is against the bottom of the dripper, not the seam.Another issue is the cone being tilted on the base, it leans to one side. I'm just concerned since I brew into a taller pitcher and I worry about it topling over.Another reviewer also notices that the drip does not fall directly from the hole. It spreads and drips from the inner circle that protrudes from the base.Even with these issues, I am a huge fan of this item after using it daily for a few months.

The best pour over I've found. Hands down.
The BEST ceramic pour over. Hands down. I have purchased and used 3 other ceramic pour overs and this is undoubtedly the best of the bunch. I just ordered another one for the following reasons:1) The shape of the interior bottom is essentially rectangular, allowing a "cone" style filter to fit in cleanly (no bulging, extra folding or pressing to fit), because cone filters are not, in fact, cones... I use a #2 and it's a perfect fit.2) The grooves to facilitate drainage in this model are not as deep as my others, which still allows fluid to flow through, but at a slightly reduced rate, allowing just a tiny bit more 'brewing/steeping' time. Admittedly, this is subjective, but it works very well for my preferred grind an water temperature. I also find that I don't need to use quite as much coffee to achieve the same level or rich/bold flavor as I do where the flow is faster / brew is shorter.3) The exit whole is about 1/2 the size of my other 'true cone shaped' pour over cups. The larger size is not necessary because the drainage flow is more controlled, slightly reduced. Again, I think this also contributes to a slightly longer brewing time/richer flavor. It's like the perfect balance between my french press (full control of brew time) and my other pour overs.4) Price. It's a great deal for a such a good product. I mistakenly paid twice as much for a lesser product in a big name "coffee shop".. don't make that mistake.

All you need for perfect coffee. Slow and smooth !!
Excellent. This along with a small Krups grinder and some natural filters is all you need to make a perfect cup of coffee each morning. I really like the black matte finish. We’ll see how durable this is, but it feels solid without weighing allot. It is a little small for number 4 filter, but I just carefully tuck it in and smooth out folds. Just be careful not to rip filter or you’ll be drinking grinds. Make sure to let coffee grinds “bloom” by first just adding small amount of hot water and waiting 30-45 seconds.

Good quality!
I like to pour over coffee dripper. I chose the Mecraft ceramic dripper because it looks very sturdy, has handles on the sides and a wide base so I can use some other coffee cups. Also, I really like the black look. This is not important in the final product, but it does help meet current needs. Solid, beautiful, and wide enough at the bottom for wide-mouth coffee cups. Very satisfied with this pour over coffee dripper.

Poor Quality
Product arrived with numerous sections where the black coating failed to coat, looks very odd and not professional. Returns process too cumbersome to bother.

Works well, but small
It’s well made and easy to use. But I have one from Starbucks and it is much bigger, so easy to make a large cup. This one requires adding more water for larger cups, not a big deal but worth a mention.

Great pour over product!
I bought this to replace my stainless steel mesh pour over. That one was getting clogged. I also read that having a paper filter is healthier as it filters out junk you don't want in your coffee. I am pleased with the results and taste.
