Original Montgomery Men's London Luxury Duffle Coat

I’m a geek about my clothes. I’m built odd. I’m a tall xl - 50 at the chest , 36 at the waste and I’m long in the body. So when I find things that fit- I’m crazy about it.When I find something that fits and it’s built like I think things were 80 years ago- sturdy. Solid. Warm. Rugged but stylish.This coat checks every box.The xxl- fits perfect at the shoulders and not too big at the waste. Long but easy to get in and out of the car with. I didn’t know the English were known for their clothing but I am now a believer.But that hood. I’m at a loss for what to say - like am I going on the Spanish Inquisition? 1600’s France called and wants its hood back? It’s a little out there. But I use it to keep my head warm- not because of the look. Oh and you can take the hood off!Amazing. I now must buy one in every color.

Great coat - replaced one that was bought 30+ years ago.

I was googled Gloverall to replace a 30+ year old montgomery and this came up. The reviews were good so I gave it a shot. Excellent fabric, etremely well made, I think it will last for at least as long. Astronomical value for money :-)

I have thoroughly enjoyed this duffle coat. Girls (and guys) constantly compliment me on it. While the coat is expensive, it is definitely worth every penny. I'm actually very surprised that Amazon sells it for $125 less that the Original Montgomery website does. The coat is very loose on me, but that is because I decided to buy a size up (42) in order to have room to layer or just so I could move around easier in it. It is very heavy and warm, and the buffalo horn toggles are very nice. My favorite part is probably the sweet collar it has. The overall quality of the design and the materials, like 80% wool, is extremely nice. I tried, but I could not find any comparable duffle coats for similar prices. If you have questions about the coat make sure you call Original Montgomery customer support. Their English accents are amazing!

Really well made coat! Really warm, does very well against the cold chicago weather. I just would've liked to see internal cuffs inside the sleeves to keep the wind out, some nice gloves should fix that. Really thick wool. Nicely done. 10/10

This is really a well-made coat -- far superior to those that appear similar in style but are really cheaply made inferior versions. The extra money was not insignificant but it was well spent. Note that I found the sizing to be slightly tight -- normally I wear a 44 but needed a 46 to leave room for a sweater or suit jacket underneath.

Color was a little darker than I had expected. I hate that the hood is too small and short to cover my head comfortably without straining my neck. It's practically a cosmetic feature. Overall quality is price appropriate. I live in WI and it gets below 0 a few times out of the year, has kept me warm and dry during these colder months.

Great quality material and finishing detail. I had built up my expectations (driving the family nuts!) but this delivered everything and more. As others have said I can see this as a coat for a lifetime. Great style & design, fits into that "smart casual look" so handles most situations. I ordered a size 42 for my 42 chest and its fits well with room for an extra jumper underneath if needed.I'm a 100% fanboy.Cheers

Il cappotto stile montgomery è esattamente quello che serviva. Capo di ottima qualità, in lana, cuciture resistenti, asole in pelle e tipici bottoni in corno/osso. Due tasche laterali mediamente ampie, applicate sul capo. Consigliato per gli amanti dello stile casual/vintage, interno quadrettato con tasche applicate e chiuse da bottone.Ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo.

I had a duffle coat years ago which I loved, and it seems there aren't many of this type of coat around presently; perhaps as they've gone out of fashion...who knows. Anyway, despite the price, I decided to chuck my cash at this and I'm glad I did. It fits well, is warm, and feels really nice. You can tell it's a quality, well-made item. I've also had a few people I know comment on how nice it. I expect this will last a long time too. Buy with confidence!

Been looking for a new coat for a while now and having been a fan of the good old duffle coat for many years I thought I would get a new one. What can I say...this coat really exceeded my expectations, it's excellent!! The fit is perfect, the quality is second to none. Vey comfortable to wear and is toasty on cold days. The coat itself is very well made from good materials and looks great, I really couldn't be happier! The size chart is a big benefit on the description and the guide is pretty much bang on. I find that some of the size charts that are advertised can be a little misleading and confusing but this one is as I say pretty much bang on. I may go as far as saying this is probably my favourite purchase for some time. The service and delivery from the seller and Amazon were excellent ordered on Prime quite late in the day and arrived early next day! 10/10 from me!

Ich habe in den örtlichen Geschäften keinen Dufflecoat gefunden, der sowohl meine Ansprüche erfüllt (hoher Wollanteil und echte Hornknebel), als auch einen vernünftigen Preis hat. Also habe ich mich entschlossen das Risiko einzugehen den Mantel auf eigene Kosten zurücksenden zu müssen, habe hier bestellt und wurde nicht enttäuscht.Weil ich mit ca. 1,79m genau in den überlappenden Bereich der Größen 50 und 52 liege, habe ich zur Sicherheit beide Größen bestellt. Größe 50 war im Endeffekt im Brustbereich etwas zu eng. Das passt auch zu den in der Größentabelle angegebenen Brustweiten. Wer von der Körpergröße her unsicher ist welche Größe zu ihm passt, dem sei also ein Blick auf dieses Maß empfohlen.Rückversand (ich habe mich für DHL Paket bis 2 kg für 4,99 entschieden) lief absolut problemlos und der Kaufbetrag wurde mir bereits zurücküberwiesen.Qualitativ bin ich bisher voll überzeugt die richtige Wahl getroffen zu haben.
