To ensure that your Philips Hue motion sensor is properly connected to your Hue app, you should notice a flashing green light on the sensor, according to the included literature. These flickering lights will disappear in a second and your motion sensor will still work.

Although many customers have reported seeing a flickering green light on their Hue motion sensor, this is not the case for everyone. In rare cases, customers have reported seeing a light that flashes red and green. Both of these seem to be faults that need a reset.

On the back of your Philips Hue motion sensor, there is a button that you may push to reset it:

The rear of your motion sensor should have a little hole with a button in it. You’ll need a little tool in order to press this button. You may press these tech reset buttons by unwinding a paperclip.
