Moon Knight: Legacy - The Complete Collection

Interesting and bold story, great art all around
Fair warning: if you are someone who dislikes modern Marvel, this book will not change your mind. That being said, I really loved this book, it's divided into to (technically three) story arcs: First one taking place through the first six issues collected (#188-#193) and the second half developing across the remaining seven issues (#194-#200). The first half is a pretty decent standard super hero romp with a pretty decent villain and, while starting slow, becomes very enjoyable and action-packed; the second half of the book does get a little more trippy, philosophical, deconstructive and, yes, political, while it is very one the nose with its messaging, dialogue and imagery, I still really enjoyed it.The artwork is all the way fantastic, Jacen Burrows draws about half of the book, with Ty Templeton drawing the other half and Paul Davidson does a single issue in here, they're all fantastic artists who can create some wonderful imagery necessary for the story being told. All in all, it is a great Moon Knight book, in my opinion, not an absolute favorite, but definitely up there with the character's best stories, it's different and bold and it ain't afraid to tackle some interesting themes, loved it, the only reason it's not a 5-star for me is that some of the scans of the artwork are a little blurry (not massively, it's still very much readable and you can tell what's happening but the lines on some characters are slightly blurry) though it could just be my copy. And, again, while I love the themes the book tackles it is very on the nose with them and it can come off as preachy at times, though it's not a massive deal breaker in my opinion, just be prepared to read dialogue that comes off that way on some occasions that may need a double take.Overall, fantastic book, with pretty damn good artwork and I definitely recommend it to anyone who liked the Disney+ show and is looking for something a little more daring and doesn't mind the occasional preachy dialogue.

Interesting but not a favorite
I've only recently been getting into some of the older but newer Marvel superheroes (thanks to all the new TV shows). I like the Moon Knight story but these particular stories are a bit gory/bloody. Like, I've read Daredevil (mostly the old, some new) and this collection is definitely bloodier than DD. I'll give other Moon Knight collections a try, but will be passing this one on to my brother since he doesn't mind blood/guts/gore so much. But that's just me.

Good writing and illustrations
I liked the writing and art. What caught my eye was the urgency in addressing the background and mental health of these characters...makes them more complex and interesting. Definitely 4 stars. I like the mythos of Moon Knight and will continue to read more.
