Incomplete Hardware. Makes scriping noise.
Bougt to MaxPow for hood and lift gate. Good stuff. MaxPow did not have them for the glass. Bought these.Gripes:1. No replacement Pin and "C" clip for top of strut.2. Makes scraping sound when in motion.General warnings. Support the glass when removing the strut or will come crashing down. "C" clip is very, very, tiny, and easy to lose.

Improper fittings on ends
Ends are wrong for the application. Way too much material which grinds on the mounts attached to the glass. There is also significant play once the pin and c clips are attached. Factory shocks have a grommet inside to snug the pin tightly. Construction seems fine, but they do not fit properly.

Hood struts fit but the end design is different from factory and they are too strong
These struts fit the rear glass on my Armada but I am not too satisfied with them. The end design of these are large and metal compared to the smaller/rubber factory design. When shutting the glass, the metal rubs on the glass and creates an unnerving noise. Also, these struts are too strong for the glass hatch, I have to use two hands to close the hatch evenly or it feels like the glass will crack because one side wont go down.

Requires modification but less expensive option.
The end pieces are screwed in place versus welded, and they require slight modification in order to fit the Armada. None of the factory pieces transfer over, and they will still be slightly misaligned at full extension. These do however have great seals and maintain the window up very good. If you don’t mind modifying for a more inexpensive option, these may work for you, otherwise double or triple the price for an OEM strut. Additionally, there is no replacement hardware for the pin and c-ring.

NOT FOR 2005 ARMADA BACK GLASS
This absolutely did not work for my 2005 Nissan Armada back window struts. It has the proper bottom end to fix to the hatch but the rod end on the top is not correct. I could have installed them but the end isn't right. There is a very specific grommet that a pin goes through and this has more like a 1/4"+ shank, size whole. These were made rather well and measured length was proper but the rod end was not for this application.
