Works as expected; Easy to install
I read that contactors can fail over time due to material depletion and carbon buildup on the contacts, which occurs as a result of arcing when the contacts close. In the worst case, the contacts can fuse closed causing the compressor to run indefinitely. My Carrier 38EZG condensor units are about 12 years old and the contactors had never been replaced. So, I went ahead and replaced the contactors on my condensor units when replacing the motor start/run capacitors. From my inspection, these new units seem robust. They were straightforward to install, and have been working just fine for a few months now. The 220VAC wires leading to the compressor originally had forked connectors which were screwed down onto the original contactor. This new contactor didn't have a way to attach these fork connectors so I cut them off and stripped back a little insulation so that the wires could be directly inserted into the screw down connectors. The biggest challenge in getting these installed was fighting with the heavy gauge 220VAC wire (10ga?) leading to the condensors.

Excellent replacement part
I bought this as preventative maintenance for a 6 year old Carrier condenser. The original had screw posts for a spade connector but this replacement did not. Simple enough to cut the spade off and insert and tighten the bare wires. The old unit had an exposed coil however this new one was enclosed which was nice to protect it from dust and dirt.So far it works good, and is a lot quieter then the original

Perfect for my Comfort Maker
I’m an Electrician…. So I might be a little biased as far as the ease of install, but it was easy to install. As for the other reasons for buying was it was less expensive than my local Hardware Store and HVAC vendors. Installed myself so no HVAC tech service call/expense. So far has been a great part that saved me money in the end. Take a good look and compare your old part before you buy. This is a good buy.

Replaced Homer hn51kc024 xmc0-321-ebbc
Direct replacement for a Carrier AC unit which was working fine but making a buzzing sound. Unit is 8 years old. I troubleshot it down to a degrading Contactor. Most likely cause was of the fault was a spiders, or another bugs nest, inside the Contactor, which prevent a full contact once the switch was engaged in to ON position. Easy fix. Working as expected. Seems like a good quality part for the money spent.

Worked for Bryant 113ANA036-I
Only reason why I gave it four stars is because the metal bracket that mounts onto the condenser unit was bent, although allegedly new, I suspect this was a return item presented as new. I don't care though, my AC is up and running again after I discovered the unit had a burnt contactor, coils were burnt up.
