I'll admit, the photo looks purple and that is what drew my attention originally. Its definitely grey (which is clear in the description) and hopefully the vendor will update the photo soon so that others aren't misled.That being said, it's a great little mortar and pestle. I bought this specifically for grinding medication for my dog. If he has digestive issues, the vet gives him these giant tablets that I've been crushing by hand for years to mix into his food. Why didn't I get this sooner?! It grinds the tablets in seconds into a fine powder, which is super easy to mix into wet food or baby food, etc.I imagine this would be great for other applications like grinding herbs, etc. Its a nice little size and would be great for small grinding needs.

I'm very happy with my mortar and pestle. It works great and it looks nice too. This is my first one and I'm very happy with it. It was reasonably priced and came quickly. It's very solid so it's quite durable and can be used for many things in the kitchen. It did a great job on the garlic!!

Works great, perfect size, heavy duty... but it's not purple. I like the Grey color! But if you're set on a purple mortar and pestle, look elsewhere

It's small and fits in my hand nicely and has a bit of weight to it but not too much . It's BEAUTIFUL 😍 I recommend for sure!

I wish I had read what other people have said about the color. While I think it's quality it's NOT the color as advertised in the picture. This disappoints me greatly. I bought it because I wanted it to be the color in the picture.

Very nice weight. Nice grey color. A couple small chips on the top of the pestle, but not enough to take off a star. All in all very happy. This should last a life time.

It’s smaller than what I was hoping for but it is still a good item. Haven’t used it yet but seems thick enough.

I was really impressed with the weight and appearance of this mortar and pestle, and it does what I need it to do.Ground hazelnuts are really good in porridge, and this is really good for grinding them up. I presume it would work equally well with other kinds of nuts too.

I loved the mortar and pestle. It sits proudly on my kitchen counter, as it is strong and also aesthetic with a traditional design on the black granite. It is small and does not occupy much space on the kitchen counter and is easy to reach as I make my morning cup of masala chai.

Heavy and a nice size a few little chips in it
