Unless you have a turntable with a very very massive platter and a high torque motor, you don't want a "vinyl record weight" because your turntable can't handle that. Rather, what most of us want and need - and, as a Thorens TD 160 turntable owner, what I want and need - is a clamp weighing about 4 to 5 oz. that will add just enough weight to prevent small (almost imperceptible) degrees of vinyl disc slippage against the turntable's platter as the record spins and the phonograph stylus is dragged through the grooves of the vinyl disc without impacting the rotational speed control of the turntable's drive system. This product does this remarkably well. Beyond that, it is an attractive adornment, and it features a leveling bubble enabling the audio enthusiast to ensure a level surface that maximizes the performance of the cartridge. Excellent product.

I have been searching for a while to find a turntable weight that is not excessively heavy. According to the spec's of my turntable, the suggested center weight is around 6 oz., but the weight suggested to accompany my turntable is $60. I didn't want to pay $60. I stumbled upon this one, and it is just under 6 oz., and less than $20. Perfect... except the hole is not a tight fit on the spindle. It didn't take me long to learn how to center it before playback, but this may be a concern of others, perhaps even a deal breaker. I could maybe find a small rubber grommet to insert and tighten up the fit, but haven't yet. Anyhow, those are my comments. Overall, not a bad product, good value, but certainly not exceptional.

I have 2 weights one with bubble level one without. I have 2 suspended Turntables so I don't want too heavy. Just enough to secure the record. works well and I like the finished look

Cumple con lo necesario para lo que lo necesitaba: servir de nivel y ajustar la tornamesa. Respecto a servir de peso para mejorar la calidad de sonido, la verdad me parece lo mismo, de pronto si mejora un poco la funcionalidad mecánica en el brazo para los discos torcidos, pero los pocos que tengo así, no estaban tan torcidos como para afectar el sonido. Igual tiene buena calidad y se nota robusto.

The weight is well made, no rough edges or seams, good for and finish. Problem is that it will not fit under what I would call 'normal' height dustcovers. I have an audio technica that has a 'normal' height dustcover and unfortunately it would not fit. Had to return. If not for that issue, I would've kept and used it as intended
