The violin was not sing the same grade wood to produce as in the photo for the stake of $350.

Not a DZ Strad
The case and bow we’re DZ Strad but the violin was a Mendini! I’m glad I caught it. I didn’t trust to reorder from Amazon and went to the manufacturer instead.

Dissapointed
I am very disappointed in this company. I was sent a violin in side a locked case. I could not even open the case to see if I liked the violin. The case had scuff marks on the outside of it. I think this violin was already a return. I might have given it a better mark if I could have opend the case.

Rich tone, beautiful bow
Bought this for my daughter as she is now taking private lessons and learning to play the violin in earnest. Love how this set comes with a shoulder rest that fits the violin perfectly. Came with rosin, but no extra strings. We had previously purchased a Mendini violin in 1/32 size when she was really little, and the sound of this DZ Strad is much superior by far. Very rich tone, even though the body is still a tiny 1/4 size. The violin varnish had a few nicks and imperfections in it, but the tone is really good quality. The violin bow is absolutely beautiful. The frog slide and screw features gorgeous mother of pearl, and the side of the frog is not your usual Parisian eye but a very unique symbol. Looks very high-end. The customer service was excellent and we were sent a replacement because the first bow was defective. Definitely will be sticking to the DZ Strad and this seller as we outgrow and need new sizes going forward because we know we can buy in confidence and get good quality and service.

Violin neck broke down in 2 pieces while tuning
One of my responsible student texted me these pictures with their violin that I have recommended them to buy. Mom states that it broke while tuning. In my 30 years experiance never seen violin brake like that just from tuning, brake down like that is not acceptable, violin shop said that its poor quality of wood and it's not $30 violin, it's over $200+. I hope seller will exchange the instrument for investigation....An update: seller exchanged the Instrument!!!So I changed my review from one to 4 stars. Thank you DZ Strad
