I noticed right away that this is a very slow drive. Today I also found when trying to fill it up with media that I get I/O errors after about 160 GB.Clearly a bootleg drive. Amazon's quality control is really down the drain.

Does not work as advertised

I use it to carry files back and forth to the workshop that I want to 3d print. Has plenty of room and usually copies back and forth quickly

2tb thumb drives do exist but they are not 40 dollars a pop. This seller appears to have previously been selling much smaller drives, which boosted their listing rating, and is now claiming to be selling a 2tb drive for 40 dollars. This is a scam, and if you buy this you will not get 2tb of storage, it will most likely be a much smaller drive that has a pcb inside that reports as 2tb, but constantly rewrites your information. Allowing the drive to seemingly take 2tb of information, but in actuality it'll only hold about the last 64gb or so of whatever you try to write to the drive. This is a known scam, and it's appalling that Amazon doesn't provide an avenue to report this scam.

To start you'll notice many reviews are critical of the fact the seller lied about it's speed, since they're using outdated USB technology. As well, the "corrupted storage" problem is due to the fact that is only actually holds 10 GB of data. It tricks your computer into thinking it holds way more. 2 TB USBs will come at a higher price than this, be wary of scams.

Should've known already that this product was too good to be true. Although the USB drive advertises 1tb/2tb capacity and 3.0 speeds, it actually runs at USB 2.0 speed and has a true capacity of approximately 50gb (2tb version). Save yourself. And your money.

Fast drive, works as expected. Would buy again.
