Throws great sparks
Nice big ferro rod! Should last a long time. The scraper works very well and is attached to the rod with paracord. Also came with a loud safety whistle. Good product.

This set was just as advertized. It is one of the best values for a ferro rod. It has a strong spark, and it should last for many years of hard use. The whistle is as loud if not louder than any handheld whistle I've ever had. From a seasoned survival guy, I highly reccomend it.

Great
Works well but I’m going to make a petroleum soaked fiber match stem and then it will be great. It does very well with vasoline soaked cotton balls though.

Great cheap entry get Ferro rod
I have already tested the rod out. It throws a nice spark. Just make sure you follow the instructions, take the time and remove the coating on it. Both included tools are plenty adequate for good strikes though a nice blade always works better. The rod is nice and thick and should help me get warm in many future endeavors. Will probably be ordering a few more soon. The whistle I hoped would be good enough to throw in my pack as a just in case but it's super cheap thin plastic and sounds like a broken train whistle. Nowhere close to 80 db as advertised. I'll just bite the bullet and order a storm or hyper whistle. Both options I've seen in action and would be willing to rely on them in a survival incident.
