PURPLE LEAF 10' x 10' Aluminum Pergola with Retractable Canopy, Modern Grape Trellis Design, Gray

The pergola took two of us about 2 hours to put together. Most pieces fit perfectly, a few required a little finagling. We had the box sitting for about 3 months before we put it together and we realized one peice was the wrong piece. Since it had been so long I almost didn't contact the company about it. But I'm glad I did...I had the correct piece within 4 days and no charge. I truly wasn't expecting that!!!

I like the design which is ample. Assembly is relatively easy, but requires attention and some level of technical skill.

Update- After leaving a review the seller did try to contact me, but several times. All because of my honest review. They went as far as calling our numbers several times a week to try and get this review updated. Well they are getting it updated. I anticipate a call from the seller in hopes we can get this corrected.It’s a great design. Pretty easy to put together. But having issues with the bars staying their place. Not sure how this can be fixed but it’s almost the ends are to small and the bars slip loose. Would like to hear from the seller on this and how to resolve. This isn’t cheap

The cover as seen in picture , that the sliding canvas top goes under when not in use has a design flaw. When it rains the water sits on top the cover, about 2 gallons worth, and you have to get a broom and push up on it from the bottom to drain all the water off! I came up with a temporary fix by placing this vinyl siding trim down the middle to create an arch so maybe the water will drain off, sort of like the roof on your house is sloped. They should have included a tall bar that you put across there to create that arch. How could the manufacturer have not thought that rain water would gather up there and cause the fabric to sag? Also, there is no replacement parts listed anywhere on their website if someday your top fabric cover wears out, or the canopy sliding cover needs replacing, or even the wheel roller hooks that hold the sliding canopy get brittle from the sun and break. Because of everything i have listed here i don’t recommend you purchase this.

This is a good quality, sturdy pergola for the price. It was put together in a matter of hours with no difficulty.When assemblying the pergola, we realized that 2 "sliders" were missing for attaching the crossbars to the pergola that were attached to the tarp (should be 5 on each side, one side had only 3). I sent an email to PURPLE LEAF's customer service, explaining that two pieces were missing. I heard back from them much sooner than I had expected to, and once I provided my order #, they quickly sent out the missing parts, which arrived quickly in the mail. Purple Leaf was really on the ball!!We are thoroughly enjoying the pergola, though after a few rainstorms, I will probably treat the tarp with waterproofing spray. Not that it "leaked", but after a very heavy rain a few droplets came through. Not enough to really care about, though.Nice pergola and excellent customer service from Purple Leaf.

Purple Leaf retractable pergola is a lovely addition to our 10 x 10 deck. Bit of a to-do to assemble due to the wonky instructions as others have noted, but I still highly recommend! We attached a side curtain and planter boxes for privacy between units, and now our apartment deck is a peaceful and private space, even with 8 other units surrounding us!

canvas shade area is only about 8 ft x 8 ft. Poor assembly instructions. One end of rafter was not fully punched out. I had to drill 2 holes so I could assemble. Needed to make bungie cord system for keeping canvas retracted when not in use, otherwise wind blows open. Very disappointed, especially in the useful size of the structure

The media could not be loaded. Held up through our first hurricane season great! Easy to install and very light to move.
