You Need This
You need these to use XBee modules with standard North American 0.1in spacing prototyping boards. The XBee modules have 2mm (I think) pin spacing that is incompatible with NA boards. It also provides a socket for the XBee module so you are not soldering the pins on the XBee module to your PCB. You do need to solder a header to the Sparkfun XBee Explorer USB board but that is not so heat sensitive.These are great!
