The vinyl is nice and heavy. The remaster has a touch more bass than original, which was trademark 80's in lack of low end.First copy came with heavy scratches. Had it reordered and second copy came in clean.

Love the album, growing up listening to Van Halen. I was a little disappointed that Michael Anthony’s bass almost sounds muted. It’s like listening to the Metallica Black album. Maybe it’s just my old ears.

This was my co-first cassette tape when I was kid, and basically crystallizes everything I have become as a man. This pressing is excellent and sounds absolutely NOSTALGIC on my 1981 Pioneer PL-9 Direct Drive Turntable. RIP EVH, you were probably the best.

Whenever you talk about synthesizers these days, most people remember the synth-pop sounds of acts from the 80's like Thomas Dolby and Information Society. Few of them recall (at least at first) Van Halen, who merged synthesizer sounds with sonic guitar solos on "1984." Van Halen made it okay for hard rock bands to use synthesizers. Sure, bands like STYX incorporated such instruments into their music, but they weren't considered rock gods on the same level as Eddie and Co.With this album came the mega-hit, "Jump." It brought Van Halen's sound into the mainstream radio arena and exposed them to a lot of people who didn't listen to rock music up to that point. It also gave us "Panama," "I'll Wait," "Drop Dead Legs" and "Girl Gone Bad." Sure to remind us that these synthesizing boys still know how to be bad, Alex Van Halen hits the listener with a barrage of drums to open up my personal favorite on this album, "Hot For Teacher." This song is almost a kick in the teeth compared to the rest of the album. It's nothing more than dirty fun and pure rock n' roll.This is definitely one of the best albums ever cranked out by Van Halen before Sammy Hagar took the frontman position. Heck, it's one of the best Van Halen albums ever. I highly recommend it to any fan of true hard rock music. It's a great album.

Recently got back into records, & this was a #1 must buy.

Pure, unadulterated, 80’s rock and roll! This is an album you take to a desert island with you. It is a timeless classic, crisp clean sounds and guitar excellence. You can feel David Lee Roth’s energy and mime Eddie Van Halen’s shredding in every epic song. One of the most balanced rock album ever produced. I’m 46, my millennial wife is 30 and our little girl is going to be 3 and we all got up and danced to this album. It’s a generational music piece of art.

Uno dei migliori dischi della eccellente discografia di Eddie è soci.Però nella descrizione del cd è scritto remastered 2015 ma questa che mi è arrivata è la vecchia versione degli anni 90.

1984 o MCMLXXXIV (como lo marca su portada), fue el último disco de la banda con David Lee Roth como vocalista, y sin duda es un auténtico clásico en toda la extensión de la palabra. El hecho de tenerlo físicamente en vinilo le da un toque mágico que solamente la música en este formato nos permite. Evidentemente vienen los clásicos Jump, Panama, Hot for Teacher, entre otros. El disco es una réplica e incluye un insert con datos técnicos de la grabación.
