BIPEE Plastic Test Tube Rack for 16mm Tubes, Hole 50, Detachable

I bought this rack to hold ink sample vials from Goulet Pens. Goulet Pens sells a rack similar to this, but it only holds 40 vials rather than the 50 vials of this rack.I got out my calipers and here is what I found (note all of the diameters for these plastic objects are +/- 0.2mm). The outer diameter of the ink vials from Goulet Pens is 15.5mm. My guess is that the vials are designed to match the diameter of a 16mm test tube, which is apparently one of the standard test tube sizes. If you include the thickness of the adhesive label on the vial then it comes to 16.2mm.The diameter of the holes in this rack is 16.0mm. So, this makes for a tight fit for a ~16mm vial. The vials would go in even with their paper lables, but they had to be perfectly aligned and even then might require slight pressure to go all the way down. You couldn't just quickly lift one out or drop one in.Also, this rack arrived with the bottom piece of plastic having numerous fine scratches.In the end I decided to go with a different rack: the 50 hole 15/18mm rack from Karter Scientific. The hole diameter for that rack measured 18.5mm which worked better for my purpose.

For the price, theyre good, especially if youre using them for their intended purpose. Me, being a cheap ass-but a creative one, waned to use them to hold my large Spectrum markers. They didnt fit. Some of my other ones however did fit and the bottom hole was just the same size as the little bottom cap onthe markers so it would hold it straight up right. This, however, alerted me to the fact that not all of the holes are cut the same size-some are much tighter. Upon trying to pull out a couple of the markers that were in slightly tight, the plastic did crack and break on the rack so not super good quality but they’re cheap so deal.

Works great for holding the 5 ml fountain pen ink sample vials. I haven't had an issue with the vials with labels not fitting.

Not very tall either so syringes and such stick out.Somewhat flimsy but assembled ok.Not really designed for what I need but overall its better for its intended use.

This is exactly as described - a simple test tube rack for holding things (in this case ink samples). It even arrived five days before the earliest estimate. Nicely done.

Use it to hold cake pops ! Works great

I bought these to hold floral tubes in a butterfly habitat. Works great to keep the tubes upright and orderly.I was also able to put small branches in this rack, to keep the branches sturdy for caterpillars to form chrysalis or cocoon.
