Worth it!
My Simple Human soap dispenser, which cost double this one, died after four years. This dispenser is easier to charge with a standard cord (it does come with one but I already have a bunch of the same from other products), looks great and works as it should. It's louder than the SH dispenser, but that's the only negative I've found. I hope this one works longer than four years.

Fantastic Automatic Hand-Soap Dispenser
DISLIKES: Operator's manual, the print is a very light gray text on a white background, I could not read it without the aid of an extremely bright LED flashlight at a 45-degree angle and right above the text. If this had been a bold, black text, I would have been able to read it with a room lamp. The text is way too light for a person that has vision issues or may be considered legally-blind, which I am legally-blind, but have enough vision if text is dark against a light background or light against a dark background I have no issue reading it.There is no reference to what the 5 soap-dispensing levels are on how much soap the unit actually dispenses when the soap level is set at each level. There are 5 levels of soap dispensing, but nothing noted on what each level dispense anywhere in the Owner's manual, something that would be invaluable in knowing. The top where you fill/refill the soap container is just pressed down and lifted off, being a soap dispenser, I feel this should have had threads and screwed off and on to the soap fill/refill area. If someone doesn't know this, and they happen to pick it up by the top of the unit to move it for some reason, this could cause the unit to be lifted and fall, damaging the unit and making one huge mess with soap leaking out and all over the area, countertop, floors, down cabinets, etc. Now, To me, this is a major flaw in its design. If the soap refill cap was screwed on, the unit would only be damaged if someone lifted it and dropped it, but just having it press in, it comes off very easily, so damage is more prone to happen, and loss of soap, creating a mess would be due to this flaw in its design makeup.LIKES:The silver finish of the dispenser, although the top section, soap dispenser area and sensor are in the black part, I wish the entire unit was silver, but that's not a big deal. Now for those that do not know how to change the soap dispenser levels, I am going to explain how this is done, it's in the Owner's manual, see why this is either missed or not read by my comments about the Owner's manual in my DISLIKES area above. How to set each Level in this soap dispenser:Level 1 - This is the DEFAULT when the unit is first turned on.Level 2: Press the power button and release it, the indicator {White LED on the dispenser spout} will flash 2 times, showing you are now in Level 2.Level 3 - Press the power button again and release,, if you are in level 2, you should see 3 flashes of the White LED indicator on the dispenser spout, showing you the dispenser is now in Level 3.Level 4 - If in Level 3, pressing the power button and releasing will give you 4 flashes of the indicator, you are now in Level 4Level 5 - If you are in Level 4, pressing the power button and release will give you 5 flashes of the indicator, you are now in Level 5.To get back to Level 1, only from Level 5, just press and release the power button, you will get 1 flash from the indicator, you are now back to Level 1. If you are in any other levels, Level 2, 3 or 4, you will need to press the power button and go through the steps above to get back to level 1.Soap Output: Level 1 is the least amount of soap, it seems to double the soap output each time as you progress up the Levels, the higher the number, the more soap it will dispense. Level 5 seems to be more for adding soap to your sink for washing dishes, as that Level dispenses the soap for a longer duration to put enough soap in the basin for doing this chore, but I'd think Level 3 or 4 would suffice for dishwashing dispensary. At level 3 I had more soap than I needed for handwashing, but appears to be enough to add to your sink for washing dishes, if using it in your kitchen area. Just remember to set it back to level 1 for handwashing at the kitchen sink or using for just a few dishes. Otherwise, you'll be wasting a lot of your soap! The sensor is very good, it has always picked up my hand as I place it under the spout to get soap for washing my hands, and it never misses any motion that occurs to dispense soap. Unlike others I've used, many have been hit-and-miss, that is, you put your hand under the dispenser, but nothing happens, and you have to do it several times before it decides to give you any soap, not this one, it is very reliable.Overall, it is a nice soap dispenser and one I can recommend, my only 2 biggest complaints on it are the Owner's manual being very hard to read, and the cap doesn't screw on, just presses down onto the refill area where you add your favorite hand-soap. Despite that, it' worth owning and, again, I'd recommend it.NOTE: The only other complaint I have was I had selected a specific delivery window {Same-Day Delivery} and it was delivered PAST the time I had requested. If the window selected for a specific time slot for a delivery can't be met WITHIN the time selected, then, in my opinion, Amazon should offer a discount off your next order by giving you a discount code. And they need to correct their algorithm that selects the time chosen, as when I placed this order, as soon as I checked out, even though it was SAME-DAY Delivery, as soon as the payment was completed, I got a "Delivery Tomorrow by 10PM", what? I selected a specific time to have items delivered on the SAME-DAY, NOT tomorrow{next day}, it eventually changed to SAME-DAY Delivery, but this should have never occurred at all.

Does not charge with Type-C-to-Type-C cables
This device works fine but it has a number of shortcomings. It only charges with USB-A to USB-C cables, one of which it comes with. I got this device to help throw out charging cables and devices because I'm moving to consolidate my device charging strategy to just be Type-C wherever possible, so having another piece of crap whose board designers clearly just drop-in-replaced a Type-C port for a USB-Micro port is pretty annoying. The description said it came with "three gears to adjust pump size" but the way to adjust the size of soap dispensed was not intuitive and I don't think it was in the manual either (which I looked at when I first got it in order to try to figure out why charging wasn't working). You can short-press the power button to adjust the size, though. But every one of the three sizes is far too big; I keep mine on the lowest setting in both the bathroom and kitchen, and often I find it to be annoyingly much soap. I just use regular hand soap in them, nothing specialized. Maybe diluting the soap you put in the dispenser would help.Lastly, the battery only lasts about a month (of using the device say 3-4 times a day). A few other reviewers said it lasts about three months so I thought I'd mention my experience contradicts that. I started using both of mine on the same day, and both of mine ran out of juice for the first time about a month later, within about 2 days of one another. Again, I use the pump setting which dispenses the least soap, so if for some reason you want to do huge soap pumps, it might last even less long for you. Given that I have to go dig up a charging type I don't normally use to recharge them, every day of battery life counts, and I don't find starting off with enough battery to dispense soap about 90 or 120 times very satisfying.

Great if used every day
Loved the dispenser, it worked well, looked good. However, after going on a 2-week vacation, the soap clogged so that it was no longer usable no matter how much I tried to remove the obstruction. I bought another dispenser and, before going on another 2-week trip, I drained and thoroughly cleaned it. When I returned and tried to use it, it clogged again. I was so disappointed because I liked everything else about the product. I ended up buying a competitor and have been happy ever since.

Operates for the longest time!
Bought this over 3 years ago! Worked it for over a year, placed it in storage for a move, then found it again. Charged it up, no problem. Couldn't figure out the settings. Came back here to learn how to. Works seamlessly, and does not need constant charging. Works with any USBC charging cord (cos I misplaced the original one). So worth the purchase!
