I loved this blanket. I seriously loved this blanket. It afforded me the best sleep I have experienced, and it was so very comfortable. The form is somewhat thin but offers amazing warmth. Unfortunately, it shedded like crazy. I have no pets and cannot handle the constant itchy feeling of having pet hair everywhere, especially in my clean bed. This blanket shed fine little hairs everywhere, I mean everywhere and on everything. At first, I didn’t notice, but after a couple of days I realized the tragedy that was occurring all around me. I tried placing it inside of a duvet cover but the small itchy hairs still worked their way out. I was very sad about this as I really, truly, loved the softness, warmth, and appearance of this blanket. I eventually reached out to the seller, and they kindly refunded me the full purchase amount of the blanket and said I could keep it and give it away or donate it. I ended up giving it away and it was such a bittersweet experience. All in all, this is a seriously great company that stands by their product and customer experience. I will forever remember the 2 to 3 days I had with this blanket before the shedding and itchy feeling took over. Those days produced the most comfortable sleep I have had since.

The blanket was ordered to be a part of a bushcrafting pack for my husband. However, this past week, Texas and Louisiana fell into an incredibly deep freeze. Our power went out at 5PM one afternoon and was off for nearly 24 hours. During that time, the temps outside dropped to below zero - here in Louisiana, we aren't made for that type of weather. Our homes are all pier and beam, pipes and duct work is exposed above ground, most of us don't even have insulation in the floors. With no power, we had no heat. By morning, the temps inside the house had dropped to freezing. Even the water in the cat's waterbowl, in the house, had frozen over! Yes, it got that cold! But this blanket - kept us toasty warm. Thank goodness for this blanket! I am already ordering another! <3

I LOVE THIS BLANKET!! First off, I did machine wash it in cold water and dried on extra low. It came out just fine. My lint trap looked like I was collecting hair from a team of sled dogs during shedding season. The blanket is very soft and perfectly warm. I have used an electric blanket for years, and the onset of hot flashes has made that level of warmth undesirable. This blanket feels warm the minute I get into bed, and the natural fibers don’t contribute to my overheating. It also seems to negate the cold-sheet effect, which is a big plus. Acrylic bland blankets just don’t do the job, the Alpaca wool is the perfect solution for me. The gray with purple is beautiful.

initial review was 5 stars for softness and warmth. Yes, it is super soft and warm even though it’s a thin blanket. The reason I’ve changed my review to two stars is to warn you that this thing unravels and I’m covered in alpaca fuzz in the morning. I looked at myself this morning and I thought this is what it would feel like if I were Sasquatch. I’m covered in fuzz. I look like cousin It. I love how soft it is. Where is my vacuum.

We just finished building our sons bed and wanted something masculine yet warm and could tuck around the mattress.This blanket is very nice and my son loves how soft it is.Only complain is that it sheds, which is more obvious because he has black sheets.We also added a blanket under for the winter months as this blanket is warm but not warm enough on it's own.Would still buy it again. It's lovely and easy to make the bed.

I have been to Peru and missed purchasing one of these gorgeous Alpaca Blankets, just too big to put in suitcase, so when I needed more warmth (this is going to be a wet cold winter) I decided to purchase 2 of these blankets and waspleased to see they were on Amazon. The qualify is excellent, no disappointments. The colors true to the pictures.However I have a king sized bed and purchased the king blanket, it was just too big so I got the Queen and it's perfect.Very warm and soft, not heavy on the bed but lots of warmth. I would recommend to anyone.

Yes, you can wash these, you just have to use cold water and your lowest dryer setting. That was the first thing I did with mine, and it’s still a generous queen size blanket. Empty your dryer lint every 10 minutes or so — you’ll have enough lint to make a dog bed.

Very warm, but tends to shed. I love the softness, just wish it didn’t shed so badly.

Within seconds of arrival the cat checked it out and like me approves.
